User :   Hi Dr, I've been going through pain in my right upper abdomin intermittently right below the rib cage. There is a squeezing sound in that area. The pain goes away for day and then comes right back. Pain radiated to the back as well and cannot empty my bowels completely at once.

Doctor :   ok, after you history i think of two possibilities one is Acid peptic gastritis and the other being chronic cholecystitis

Doctor :   I suggest you to take a tab of PRILOSEC once a day early in the morning before breakfast for a week if it doesn't come down consult a gastroenterologist with a upper GI endoscopy and a Abdominal USG

Doctor :   well confirmed by an Upper GI endoscopy
User :   so it doesnt get worse

Doctor :   treatmnent will include taking long term antacid like PRILOSEC
Doctor :   but before starting long term treatment better confirm it by endoscopy
User :   I had endoscopy done about 2 years ago when I had the same issue at that time and the results was that everything was normal
User :   however, I will take your advice and take Prilosec
Doctor :   its better to rule it out this time too

User :   is the multiple bowel movements related to either of the conditions above?
Doctor :   yes, both do present with increased bowel movements , cramps and flatulence
