User :   yes its regarding my wife's second pregancy which is not into the sixth week. She has been tested positive for Toxo iGg
Doctor :   Ok
User :   The results showed Titre>= 1/1024
Doctor :   Ok
User :   We have had done two tests so far one on Feb 28th and a second one on March 4th. The one on March 4th showed Titre>=1/1024
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   What was the titre on 28th
User :   284
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   So there is increase in titres
Doctor :   of IgG
Doctor :   Its is a good sign
User :   Is there any way of knowing how recent or long ago she has had this onfection
Doctor :   The blood tests for toxoplasma
Doctor :   Antigen and Antibodies
Doctor :   So the Ig G is present in past infections
User :   The last test was done in XXXXXX. The doc has made a general assessment say that there is a risk of she had had it 12 weeks before
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Do you mean when the titres were at 280
Doctor :   Did the doctor said that
User :   Yes ther is a risk of 10-15% if before 12 weeks a
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   in fact he is right
Doctor :   There would be no risk if it occurs earlier than 6 months to conception
User :   Is there any way of knowing this?
Doctor :   What
Doctor :   The risk to the fetus
Doctor :   ???
User :   No I mean from the test that she had had what ever period ago?Should we terminate this pregnancy?
User :   Whats the best hospital you would recommend for us to do DNC? We are from XXXXX.
Doctor :   I would suggest you not to panic at this stage
User :   But the longer we wait it will be difficult, right?
Doctor :   But keep in mind about it and get the confirmatin test donw
Doctor :   with ultrasound scan or Chorionic Villus sampling at 10 to 12 weeks
Doctor :   The chances of fetus at risk are there, but bit remote
User :   I could send you the report by email the one from XXXXXX for you to have a look at it?
Doctor :   You have already said about the IgG levels
Doctor :   Thats fine
Doctor :   Now your wife requires better investigation and physical examination to rule out the risk of the fetus
Doctor :   So i better say to get it done in XXXXX
User :   That's right
Doctor :   at 10 to 12 weeks
Doctor :   If it is affected then doctors would advice you for aborting it
User :   So doc your assessment is that with the current level of Toxo iGg the risk to the fetus is very remote?
Doctor :   is less
User :   If we were to do it in XXXXX could you recommend the best hospital and the doctor we should make an appointment with?
