Doctor:This is Dr. XXXXXXX here.
User:Hello doctor
Doctor:Please proceed with your query.
User:on the 27th night i had unprotected intercourse there are slim chances that i came in contact with ejaculation fluid though iwas not sure so in the morning i took norlevo (emergency contraception)
User:my last menses were december 15 november 18 october 21
User:is there any chance that if something went wrong i could be pregnant? even if i used norlevo on time?
Doctor:Considering your last menstrual date of Dec 15, you had sex during fertile days of cycle.
Doctor:But, it good that you took emergency contraceptive pill.
Doctor:within 72 hours.
Doctor:That makes chances of pregnancy rare.
User:so i should not worry?
Doctor:But, there are reported cases of failure as well though chances are very less.
User:can i take a pregnancy test today?
Doctor:I would suggest you to consider doing pregnancy test if you miss the period.
Doctor:You can do the test after 15th XXXXXXX if no periods.
User:so it will show nothing if i do it earlier?
Doctor:Test at this stage will not show accurate results as sufficient hormone will be present in urine.
Doctor:Sorry, as sufficient hormone will not be present in urine.
User:and what are the chances of the pill failure?
User:should i be concerned?
Doctor:Failure rate of emergency contraception is very low. But, can not be exactly predicted.
User:okay doctor. thank u
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Wish you good health.
Doctor:and a happy new year ahead.
Doctor:Bye for now.
