User :   I am 26yrs old/ male/ Married/ working as a US business development in a IT company for almost 5 yrs and basically a night shift job, its been a quite while since last month i am witnessing that i am sleeping for more than 12 hrs during the weekends, and after sleeping for more hrs again i feel sleepy during regualr hours, the same way it is happenning to me during my working hours, i sleep normally 9-10 hrs in a day and at night i used to work effectively, but now a days after sleeping so long in day even at night i feel sleepy and uncontrolably i sleeping with out my knowlege. i eat regualr food three times in a day... please let me know why am i having this

User :   not sure to say doctor, on a weekly basis, i will have a routine work of washing my three cars and polishing those cars with wax etc and also i will clean my house on my own to give some exercise to body that way...

User :   no doctor not for atleast 20 yrs in my life

User :   yes, weekly once with 4 larges and never go beyond that

User :   yes doctor, i am little bit a depressed one but havent undergone any treatments so far, since i take it liter within two to three days or with in one day

User :   yes doctor, at work i have few factors that are trying to stop my growth within the company

User :   yes
Doctor :   Does the excessive sleepiness persists the whole week or is it only in the first few days of the week?
User :   whole week, normally i will have it for first few days, but latter of the week i will be alright, but in the recent past i am seeing that i am having it for the whole week

Doctor :   By the answers given by you, there are few causes that may be causing you to be sleeping excessively.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Its probably the alteration in the sleeping cycle which is contributed by other factors.
Doctor :   Let me put that in simple terms.
Doctor :   Body is used to one particular sleep cycle, like for a particular hours of sleep at a particular time, when this is altered one ends up with symptoms such as yours.

Doctor :   There may be other factors such as stress at work with your past history of depression and alcohol during the weekends that are contributing to you sleeping excessively on weekends.

User :   normally i change the sleeping cycle during my weekends
User :   instead of sleeping in day i sleep at nights

Doctor :   they include breathing exercises, counting breathes, taking a cool shower, yoga,
Doctor :   meditations, physical exercises.
Doctor :   Start of with breathing exercises, this is particularly useful at your work place.

Doctor :   Whenever you feel those stress and tension is building out, breathe deeply and slowly and count the breathes you take.
Doctor :   This is a very effective means of removing the stress and tensions out of the body.

User :   no actually recently i am taking this work, usually i will clean one car, but due to sleepyness i am taking all my three cars and cleaning one my own

User :   i tried watching movies too doctor, but still you know i feel sleepy while watching the movies

User :   i am not having regular motions, it is not just a recently witnessed, but i have been having this problem for almost in my life, normally i used to go once in every three days

Doctor :   Incase you do not find improvements, then you can alternatively use XXXXXXXX products like syrup which can be obtained at any pharmacy.
Doctor :   And lastly there are few other laxatives like syrup lactulose which help in constipation.
User :   sure doctor, i will follow this for a week, and it still persists i will buy the recommended syrup
Doctor :   The last one is not recommended for daily use.

Doctor :   Its termed as AAAAAAA they are just natural fibres, can be obtained in syrup forms.
