User :   Good Morning Dr XXX...I need some guidance on managing dandruff which is a problem for more then a year now

Doctor :   is it dry or sticky?
Doctor :   is there any other scalp related problem?
Doctor :   have you tried any treatments and dermatologist consultation for this problem? if yes please give treatment details?
User :   It was dry initially however these days its like moist powder

User :   I have tried anti dandruff shampoo
User :   Have also tried nysorol which is a Johnson product but all that is temporary
Doctor :   ok. was any dermatology consultation done?
User :   not really
Doctor :   sometimes persistent or recurrent dandruff is due to fungal infection of scalp which tends to keep coming back
User :   ok
Doctor :   I would recommend a trichoanalysis and consultation with dermatologist for the scalp
Doctor :   to rule out infections, if infection is found, you will need t o be treated with antifungals
User :   ok then Iwould go and see a dermatologist...
