Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Dr Mixxx here
Doctor :   Please proceed with your query
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   Oops sorry.
User :   Yes.
User :   Just one question.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I had twisted my ankle about a month back.
User :   I was in a cast for 2 weeks.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   The doctor diagnosed it as a soft tissue rupture.
User :   Although the cast is now off, I still have slight discomfort while walking.
User :   And I still can't run or jump, preventing me from doing most of my physical activities fully.
User :   Thoughts?
Doctor :   When was the cast removed?
Doctor :   May i know your age?
User :   I had an X-Ray taken. There was no fracture.
User :   The cast was removed about a month back.
Doctor :   When was the X ray done?
User :   About 40 days back. July 1st to be precise.
User :   And I'm 26 years old.
Doctor :   Did you have ligament torn
User :   Nope. The doctor didn't say that.
User :   He said it was a soft tissue rupture.
User :   Is that kind of the same thing?
Doctor :   Soft tissue ruptures mostly involve the ligaments also and are painful after sometime even.
Doctor :   They do not come up in theX ray.
User :   Ok.
Doctor :   You probably need to get some physiotherapy exercises.
User :   Ok.
Doctor :   They will help you in mobilizing and also restoring the normal strengyh of soft tissues.
Doctor :   *strength
User :   Like I said, I can walk just about ok. I limp sometimes. But when I try to jog or jump (like skipping), I feel pain.
Doctor :   Physiotherapy will help you in this., since X ray is also normal it does take some 2 to 3 months for soft tissue and ligaments to heal up.
Doctor :   1)You can do some hot water bag fomentation in it.
User :   What is that?
Doctor :   It is keeping hot water bag on the painful area 2 to 3 times a day
Doctor :   2)Also apply Relaxyl ointment.
Doctor :   3)Elevate your leg whenever possible.
User :   Ok.
Doctor :   have you followed what i have said?
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   Yes. Hot water bag fomentation 2-3 times a day, relaxyl ointment on the painful area and keep leg elevated.
Doctor :   Yes
User :   Also, I'll consult a physio and see if he/she can advise on any strengthening exercises.
Doctor :   Yes that would be good
Doctor :   Is there anything else you would like to know?
User :   No thats it. Thanks for now.
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me, bye
