User :   Hi Good Morning.. For past few months i have been facing lot of troubles with my legs... they dont respond and at times i cant climb stairs, get up from chair, get down from car....

User :   and even while walking i feel my legs at times are out of control
User :   i am 26, Male, 5'11 and 78 kgs
Doctor :   is it pain that you are feeling, or are feeling locking of joints?
User :   was suffering from malaria few days back

User :   no past record except high bp
User :   no its in my thighs
Doctor :   does it feel like cramp? or dull pain?
User :   cramp at times..
User :   i used to be a good trekker but since last few months i have been bed ridden because of few ailments..
User :   at times i just cant even et off my loo chair
User :   i have to hold something and then lift my whole body
Doctor :   ok. have you got yourself examined for these present problems?
User :   nopes not now
Doctor :   were blood tests done in recent time?
User :   yes it was normal
User :   i got it done last week
Doctor :   were your hemoglobin levels and platelets counts fine?
User :   yes all in control
Doctor :   was there uric acid and calcium levels checked?
User :   yes while malaria everythin was checked
User :   calcium i am not sure
Doctor :   were serum electrolyte levels checked?
User :   is it serious
Doctor :   since the symptoms are affecting your day to day life, it suggests seriousness.
Doctor :   you will need repeat examination along with these further tests: User :   i haven;t been excercising lately for quite sometime now is it also one of the reasons
Doctor :   serum electrolytes, cacium, uric acid, serum creatinine, complete hemogram, ESR, CRP tests
Doctor :   if all of these results come back normal, then you will be requiring physiotherapy to help in getting back into action with supervision and correct guidance of techniques
Doctor :   if any abnormality is found, then further treatment would be started as indicated by the test results
Doctor :   are you on any medications at present?
User :   well a thing more when i sit on ground i just cant push my sef off the ground or stand till someone comes to hold me
Doctor :   these symptoms indicate nervous system involvement along with muscular problems
Doctor :   does anyone in family has had these problems?
Doctor :   especially of muscular origin?
User :   nopes all are fit
User :   oh.. whts the main reason is it diet related or stress related
Doctor :   it can be either of them or due to intrinsic muscular and nerve problem that has probably got precipitated due to your recent illness and medication use
User :   is it common..
Doctor :   it is not common to have these symptoms after illness
Doctor :   you should focus on finding out the underlying problem
User :   but can be cured right ....
User :   shud i stop cycling or continue with it..
Doctor :   visit an Orthopedic surgeon or a neurologist to get thorough examination and further investigations to come to the root cause for your symptoms
Doctor :   stop any activities that cause undue pain
Doctor :   you might rupture or tear muscle fibers if do strainful movements
Doctor :   which will make problems worse
User :   ok.. but this thing can be cured
Doctor :   it depends on the underlying cause.
Doctor :   if something serious like muscular dystrophy is detected, then cure is difficult
Doctor :   if it is du eto hormonal or electrolyte imbalance
Doctor :   then it can be cured completely
User :   oh gr8 i hope its not serious
