User:Hi XXXXXXX good morning
User:im currently taking treatment for molluscum contagiasum at my genitals
User:doctor has applied tca solution to burn the virus off..
User:today morning, i observed one more sore on my testis and im not sure whether its molluscum or not..
User:i can send u a mail showing an image of the same
Doctor:You can mail it to YYYY@YYYY
User:sure, im sending it right far, i have got the molluscum above penis, where the hair grows, and some small lesions on testis..
User:solution is applied to almost all of them, except this.. please have a look
Doctor:Can you mention if there are any symptoms associated at the new spots?
Doctor:And let me know when you have mailed the pictures.
User:i have mailed the picture sir
Doctor:Give me a few minutes while I fetch the mail.
User:symptoms are like its 3/4th circle, having a follicle at the center, small hole like appearance in the center.. very tiny
User:sure sir
User:did u happen to fetch the mail sir
Doctor:I apologize for the delay.
Doctor:I was able to view the pictures that you sent.
User:no problem sir
Doctor:As the lesion is small and close to the hair follicle, I am unable to differentiate it between molluscum or reactive changes to TCA chemical.
Doctor:However since there is no associated symptoms such as redness, itching / burning,
Doctor:A recurrent molluscum seems more likely.
Doctor:I would suggest you to get back to your doctor. He can examine the lesion under broad light to look for clues.
User:once it outbreaks, how often does it spread to other surrounding areas?
User:ok, sure sir.. i will see the doctor
Doctor:and decide about treating it with TCA or cauterizing it.
Doctor:Molluscum is an infection which spreads by touch and contact.
Doctor:As long as you are in physical contact with an active lesion you can have a recurrence.
Doctor:Therefore it is very essential that we treat all individual lesions to eradicate the problem.
Doctor:Make sure your family and close ones also looks for similar appearing lesions.
Doctor:If any, they would also need to be treated to prevent recurrence.
Doctor:Have you followed? surrounding areas should be kept clean, im using an antifungal soap
User:yes sir
User:im single now..
Doctor:Molluscum is caused by a virus and antifungal preparations have no significant effects on it.
Doctor:Perhaps the antifungal soap was prescribed to you to avoid fungal infection secondary to chemical application.
Doctor:If your doctor did not prescribe the antifungals to you, you may discuss about using it further with your doctor.
Doctor:Do you have any more questions?
User:sure sir, i will
User:after tca is applied, doc. suggested to apply fudic cream on that
User:at a later point, how can i clean that to re-apply the cream
User:i cannot touch them right?
Doctor:Yes, avoid touching the lesions. You could spread it to other areas.
Doctor:Fudic cream is an antibiotic cream prescribed to avoid bacterial contamination.
User:ok sir. I will take care
User:thanks for ur suggestions
Doctor:Bacteria can spread easily on an infective lesion or on chemical subjected region. You can use a glove to apply the cream.
Doctor:I hope all your questions are answered.
Doctor:Do you have any more questions?
User:yes sir. i got all the answers
User:no sir. thank you
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
User:bye sir
