User :   Do you know if you have frostbite right away. I went to the ER and the doctor there checked my feet and said I did not have it, but it did look like I have neuropathy. How do I know if I have frostbite or not. I have been out in the cold once with just clogs on on the back porch feeding stray cats. I am so worried I have frostbite.

User :   I think it happened the possible frostbite about 10 days ago. Would the ER doctor have been able to tell if my feet had frostbite that soon.

Doctor :   frost bite can present within 2-3 days of exposure to severe cold and ice

Doctor :   post exposure to cold and ice, there will be numbing sensation of the foot
Doctor :   this may present as neuropathic symptoms
User :   I was wondering about that, so is that frostbite?

User :   My cheeks and feet feel so cold all of the time.

Doctor :   this is usually common , in a cold environments
User :   My husband's skin feels warm while mine feels cold why is that?
Doctor :   probably due to recuced circulation due to vasospasm ( contracted blood vessels of the leg )
