User : Over the past five to six months I have been experiencing bowel problems that only increase and never get better. For starters, for the past month or two when I use the bathroom I experience very watery and diarrhea like stool that is very mucousy. I also feel extremely bloated quite often and have to constantly use the bathroom only to find nothing but gas and mucous coming out. I ignored the problem at first but very recently I've been experiencing a small amount of mucous leaking during my every day activities and an increase in bloating throughout the day.
Doctor : Hi
User : Hello.
Doctor : Let me read what you have typed
User : Absolutely.
Doctor : May i know your age?
User : 19
Doctor : How many times you have to go to restroom for passing the stools in a day?
User : Over the past week I've had to use the restroom upwards of 6-10 times a day. It is worse in the morning hours and lessens as the day goes on.
Doctor : Are you having loose motions everytime you go?
User : Yes. It used to not be that way but It's the same every time. The only difference is the amount which depends on how much I've eaten.
Doctor : Do you have any symptoms other than these? Are you on any medications?
User : No bloating, severe diarrhea and an abundance of mucous are my only symptoms. I am not on any medication and have not been for many years.
Doctor : Did you notice any blood anytime in the stool?
User : No I have not noticed any blood in my stool.
Doctor : Do you smoke or take alcohol? It seems like a bacterial or viral abdominal infection or inflammatory disease.
User : I do not smoke or drink ever, not even lightly.
Doctor : You need to get yourself examined and also require some investigations like blood test, stool test and may also require rectoscopy or colonoscopy to find the exact cause.
User : I have been attempting to schedule myself a doctors appointment with my doctor but that has proved fruitless; at least to get one when I want it. I was considering going to the emergency room. Should I go as soon as I can?
Doctor : Since it has been long you are having these symptoms you need to get examined urgently. Its not am emergency but it needs to be done urgently
User : In the worst case scenario, what might I be looking at?
Doctor : Also if any infection is present you might require prescription antibiotics and other medications.
Doctor : Not something to be worried for, it can be inflammatory bowel disease but it cannot be ignored
User : That's good to know. I can't think of anything else so I believe my questions are done. Thank you for your help and I will seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Doctor : Wish you all the best
Doctor : Take care
Doctor : Thanks for consulting me, bye for now
User : Thanks again.
