User :   My right side tonsil has a hard puss ball that touches my tongue and it feels like I have something stuck there. I managed to reach back there with the back of a tweezer and was able to rub off the tip a bit. It was hard and I am sure it is old puss. Is there a way to remove or just let it be?

User :   no sore throat no fever
User :   I did have throat discomfort last week
User :   but nothing that really bothered me
Doctor :   it seems that u have tonsillitis
Doctor :   this is an inflammation of the tonsils
Doctor :   try salt water gargling 3 -4 times a day
Doctor :   in addition take some ibuprofen 400 mg 2 times a day for the inflmmation to reduce
User :   I will do that
Doctor :   If u develop any high fever, or develop cough , etc ..
Doctor :   you may need antibiotics for a few days
Doctor :   But taking the precautions and ibuprofen will prevent the need for that
Doctor :   Do u have any other questions for me ?
