Doctor :   Swelling of the hands and feets, is described medically as peripheral oedema.
Doctor :   They occur commonly due to the following reasons.
Doctor :   1. Low protein levels
Doctor :   2. Liver function disorders
Doctor :   3. Heart or kidney function disorders
Doctor :   4. Medical diseases such as anaemia, thyroid problems
Doctor :   Itching of the eyes and nasal congestion commonly occur secondary to an infection (viral) or an allergic cause.
Doctor :   Based on your description, you could be having combination of these problems.
Doctor :   However from this far without physical examination and evaluation, it is difficult to predict what exactly the cause could be.
Doctor :   and since you report of persistently swollen limbs, it is necessary that you get evaluated for the above 4 conditions.
Doctor :   You may need blood test that include complete blood counts, liver function tests, and other metabolic work up, which can be done after a physical examination.
Doctor :   I recommend these tests and the physical examination to determine what the cause is.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   Ok
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   No thanks
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
