User :   I had surgery on Tuesday and now the hand that the IV was placed is swollen as well as my entire arm. I had lipo on my upper arms and have to wear a compression garment. But the arm that the IV was placed is so swollen and not the other. What can I do?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :

Doctor :
the reason is thrombophlebitis

nothing alarming in that
User :   so there is nothing I can do?
Doctor :   You can apply cold compress

Doctor :
or alternated with hot and cold
Doctor :
also a compress
Doctor :
just as a symptomatic measure
User :   ok thanks
Doctor :   Also is the swelling same side where you are having compression garment?

User :   I'm wearing a full body compressiona garment
User :   it seems like its cutting off my circulation on the side where the IV was
Doctor :   You shall have to loosen that and check

Doctor :
Doctor :
do not remove it fully
User :   my arm the IV was in is so fat
User :   how can I losen a compression garment
Doctor :   You should consult the doctor

Doctor :
to help you take a different size
Doctor :
which shall solve the issue
