User :   I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE i WAS GETTING SWELLING IN MY ANKLES AND i THOUGHT IT NEEDED TO BE LOOKED AT. While there my blood pressure was up minimally but they also checked it before I left and it was normal they said and he checked me out for cardiac arrest and then said it was adema now I seen my regular doc two days later who also checked me out with ekg and blood pressure checked out fine as well and both came back fine but I am wondering why are my ankles swelling because I had a injury and had my cast off the week prior and it is not making any sense to why I am having this swelling in ankles and I need to know who I should go see to be able to give me some answers .

User :   the emergency room doc said not urgent or emergency care for me

User :   I injured my right foot and had cast taken off week prior and he said I am favoring foot and putting a lot of strain on right foot I injured baby toe and stress fractured right foot on memorial wknd
User :   I also tore tendon in right foot as well

User :   I had andle selling in injured foot and seen a bone specialist who then told me it is due to torn tendon
Doctor :   Was the swelling present continuously or periodic?
User :   all in right ankle and once cast was off she said it will take 6-8 more wks to heal when I pointed out swelling still in left injured ankle and now it is in both ankle and they ache

User :   never noticed it in normal other ankle
User :   every doctor keeps telling me this is normal because I favored one foot because of injury

User :   had blood work done on sat
User :   he said he would call me if anything is different

User :   and see a bone specialist as well

Doctor :   There are many causes of swelling as injured feet, any trauma, prolonged standing, age factor, overweight a, kidney problems etc.
Doctor :   Did you get your Kidney Functions tests done?
User :   emergency room doc done finger touching toe touching ect and outside of my blood pressure being minininally high 147/77 he said everything checked out
User :   my doctor took blood test and was checking for protien ect
User :   not sure if he did kidney one he had them do blood test
User :   he said I am healthy and even did a ekg too and it came back fine
Doctor :   I will advise you to get a complete hematology , liver function tests and kidney function tests done to see the cause
User :   I am not overweight and weigh 131
User :   who do I go to
User :   should I see a cardiologist
Doctor :   In the injured foot it is because if the recent injury you had
Doctor :   You can see a cardiologist and he may refer you to nephrologist
