Doctor:How can I help you?
User:I need to consult a pregnancy expert for my sister
Doctor:I am a physician and I can help you within my epertise.
User:She is having slight swelling and pain from fingers upto elbow
User:The Gynac has advised complete bed rest, is in her 5th month
User:slight swelling is only on fingers and base of finers
User:The Gynac is not available today, his assitant has advised to take Crocin
User:What do you think could be the reason?
Doctor:Swelling on parts of the body is normal during pregnancy. These are the effects of hormones that control and sustain pregnancy. However if she has associated joint pains, body weakness, generalised tiredness or fever
Doctor:this may be a symptom of viral infection.
User:There are no such symptoms, only pain on left hand upto elbow
User:There is no swelling elsewhere.
Doctor:I hope she did not sustain any injury.
User:No injury. Swelling was slight. However, there was much pain on left hand
Doctor:This most likely seems to be the effects of hormones needed to sustain pregnancy. Such symptoms are common during pregnancy.
Doctor:If the pain is severe, she can take paracetamol tablets like crocin as advised by the doctor.
Doctor:If swelling increases, then she needs to get back to her gynecologist. Her blood pressure need to be checked.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:Thanks. She also takes proluton once in a week
Doctor:Swelling and fluid accumulation is one of the side effects of this drug.
Doctor:So her symptoms seem to be a usual one to me. She can consider visiting her gynecologist if symptoms are severe.
User:She takes Proluton once a week
User:Hello Doc
User:I am back in the window
User:Since Proluton is harmone, do you suspect this is side effect of that
Doctor:Proluton is a drug given in many patients especially if there is any risk factor.
Doctor:It is known to cause swelling. Your sister's symptom may be the effect of the drug and due to pregnancy itself.
User:Anything else you suggest?
Doctor:Without an opportunity to examine your sister directly, my opinion is going to be restricted here. She can continue taking paracetamol if the pain is not tolerable. Visit the gynecologist whenever feasible
User:Many thanks. will catch up with Gynac at the earlist
Doctor:she can get her blood pressure and physical check up done.
Doctor:Further guidance can be provided accordingly.
Doctor:Have you followed?
Doctor:Do you have any questions?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:Everything else (BP, Sugar) is normal. We wll contact Gynac for treatment at earliest. Thanks
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
