User :   Hello?
Doctor :   hi
User :   Hi there, I have a question relating to my chances of having contracted mono...
Doctor :   ok
User :   So at a lacrosse game yesterday, during the post-game talk, there were some bottles of Gatorade that had been provided by a parent that were supposed to be shared by several players each. My teammate refused to share his until I convinced him to give me a sip, and I took a few gulps from it. However, after the chalk talk, as we walked away from the huddle, he informed me that he MAY have gotten mono from a girl he kissed (5 days before), who MAY have gotten it from sharing things with her mono-infected friend. I am really worried, because this could really screw up things for the next few months (especially considering this is the end of my junior year, just before college/recruiting season). I have a mildly sore throat a day later, but recently had a really nasty cold that could very likely be the cause of it.
User :   what do you think my chances of having mono are?
Doctor :   do you have any symptoms like fever, rashes, swollen glands
User :   nope
User :   but its only a day later
User :   so what do you think?
Doctor :   it cannot bedetected so early
