User:My scalp has been breaking out for the last 8 years. Consulted a dermatolgist a few years sgo and diagnosed it as over active hair folicles. Seems to be getting worse and glands even swollen at times.
Doctor:I have gone through your problem
Doctor:how may I help you in this condition?
User:Break outs are very painful. They seem to start with a feeling like a bruise and then swell and weep.
Doctor:Oh okay
Doctor:does this happen only in the scalp?
User:Yes. Nothing I use like Neosporin seem to help. Is there some kind of shampoo or treatment I can use.
Doctor:in my opinion you will benefit from using salicylic acid cream
Doctor:apply this once in a while and then after a few hours wash it off
User:Iis this available over the counter.
Doctor:the important thing to remember is to wash your head everyday with a shampoo
Doctor:Yes, it is available over the counter
Doctor:You can apply the cream once every 3 days
Doctor:but you should wash your hair and head daily
Doctor:use any shampoo
Doctor:does not matter much
User:I do that already. Have also switched shampoos but doesn't seem to make a difference.
Doctor:try this and see
Doctor:is there anything else I can help you with?
User:Thanks I will give it a try. It will be a relief if it clears this up.
Doctor:I hope it clears it up
Doctor:thanks for using the service
Doctor:take care
Doctor:and all the very best
Doctor:bye for now
