User:my son Neev is 9 months old
User:and he seems to have loose motion
User:he has passed stools 3 times until now
User:so i suspect that he might be having some kind of a loose motion
Doctor:How often does he usually go?
User:from morninig 7 am, until now, he has passed stools around 3 times
User:after every 4 hours, you can say
Doctor:Does he have fever?
User:no, he is fine otherwise
Doctor:Is the colour of stools different from routine
User:when its frequent its yellow, but usually when he passes stool its after 2 days and its dark green
Doctor:Passing stools three times is normal unless it is accompanied by fever, dehydration etc
Doctor:If you feel that he is losing water in stools, his skin is dry etc, then you can give him gatorade
Doctor:gatorade is ORS in liquid form
User:ok, is it ok for a 9 month old baby ?
Doctor:Otherwise he doesnt need medicines
User:ok and should we continue with the semi-solid food or should we restrian
Doctor:If diarhea gets worse, then you may visit a doctor
Doctor:Mostly it is viral in origin and children recover on their own
Doctor:Do you have any question?
User:for dry skin, what are the symtoms that i should look out for ?
User:should his skin look non-elastic or something like that ?
Doctor:Firstly the urine production will decrease
Doctor:so baby will produce less of wet diapers
User:ok, i understand
Doctor:The mouth may get dry and parched
Doctor:Skin will be dry to touch
Doctor:Urine will get darker
Doctor:These are symptoms of dehydration
Doctor:I usually prefer to give ORS or gatorade after each motion or vomiting
User:ORS means electral, right ?
User:ok, thanks Doctor
User:i don't have any further questions
Doctor:ORS should be prepared in cleanest water
Doctor:Thanks for consulting
Doctor:Take care
