User:it was probably heat boils .. but i happened to make it worse throught scratching of them
User:casuing minor wounds and hair loss at those spots ..
User:then over the years hair kept falling gradually ...
Doctor:Family history of hair fall?
User:A lot of doctors dismissed it as heriditary . I want to know as to how to determine that ?? Does it start this early ?
Doctor:If hereditary, there would be thinning of the hair initially and gradually hair fall in particular areas.
Doctor:Any one in your father's side or mother's side has history of baldness at an early age.
User:yes thats what seems to happening to me as well
User:father had baldness ..
User:But at my age of 23 .. my question is are there other reasons due to which the falling has been accelerated ?
User:is that a possibility ?
Doctor:in your case, I feel that hereditary cause is main reason for baldness but the dandruff has accelerated the cause
User:these days i am using johnsons baby shampoo ( since i heard its mild ) .. every 2 days .. and use besan powder every other alternate day for hair wash
User:the water is hard as well .. But this dandruff ting i have been having for many many years now ...
Doctor:Did you get any investigation like KOH swab to know the type of fungal infection present?
User:No i never had that
Doctor:I understand your concerns but you need to understand that there is no treatment to regain the lost hair.
Doctor:The treatment available can only help to delay in hair loss.
Doctor:I suggest you to use KZ shampoo every day.
Doctor:avoid combing of wet hair.
User:I guess i had used that shampoo you had mentioned ..
User:But say if i take bath in the morning .. by evening the itching creeps in and becomes worse
Doctor:Yes, start it again but everyday and also every week you have to follow this method of hair wash.
Doctor:First wet your hair with water and apply any mild shampoo over the hair. do not do deep massaging of the scalp and just apply on the hair.
Doctor:keep it for 10 to 15 mins.
Doctor:after that wash it with water.
Doctor:once done this apply KZ shampoo this time on the scalp.
Doctor:apply well over the scalp and keep it again for 10 to 15 mins.
Doctor:this will help in cleaning the scalp well.
User:can you please suggest one mild shampoo .. affordable ..
Doctor:Try this method once in every week, if you feeling the itching has not reduced then you can try it twice in a week.
User:most of the market ones i have found too harsh for my hair .. generating hell lot of foam
Doctor:You can use dove shampoo.
User:doc .. most of the shampoo has SLED
Doctor:or vatika or any herbal shampoo
User:I have heard its extremely hazardous
Doctor:You can go for herbal shampoos or sikhakai shampoo.
User:any kind of shampoo available in market or stores that absolutely doesnt have any chemicals ?
Doctor:herbal shampoos like shikakai should be helpful. I donot have much regarding the brand but you can search in baidyanath or any ayurvedic stores
User:Do you suggest some more powerful shampoo instead of KZ ???
Doctor:KZ is a good antifungal drug.
Doctor:this should be enough. If the way used is right.
Doctor:Try and observe for improvements.
User:do i just apply it or message after applyuing ?
Doctor:Once in a week as explained before and rest of the days as normal wash but keep it for 10 to 15 mins.
Doctor:Minoxidil lotion 5% twice a day over the bald areas
Doctor:This has to applied everyday without fail for atleast 6 months or so.
Doctor:It might be required for longer time.
User:i mean how to apply KZ shampoo
User:like i use normal shampoo ?
Doctor:Yes, as explained before if your washing everyday then as normal shampoo and as explained before once in a week with a mild shampoo.
User:I do wash my hair everyday ...
User:So i should be using 6 days just KZ shampoor and 1 day KZ + mild shampoo ?
Doctor:Yes, use kz shampoo everyday and once in a week apply any mild shampoo first and then kz shampoo with scalp massage.
Doctor:follow this for 6 months and observe for improvements.
