User:I have recently begun experiencing odd mottling in both my arms and the palms of my hands turn purple. My sister is a cardiac specialist RN and told me it might be a vascular trunk blockage and not to take it lightly. I don't want to over react, but has me a bit worried. I also have been fatigued and have an ache in my left shoulder that extends to my elbow. I also have been experiencing severe headaches.
Let me read your query for few minutes to be able to have a good discussion here.
Doctor:From your description it seems like you are having some vascular pathology
User:is this something I should worry about immediately or should I just make an appointment with my regular doc?
Doctor:I would suggest you go for a Doppler scan of the upper limbs
Doctor:I think you should get this sorted out as soon as possible
User:I will call my doc on Monday. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't going to drop dead over the weekend. :)
Doctor:If your appointment takes a long time, then you can look for other alternatives
Doctor:I don't think so
User:He's great. I can usually get in in a few days. It was just too late to call him now and I was worried. thanks
Doctor:When did you notice this first?
Doctor:Okay, in that case I would suggest you go to the ER
User:oh. ok. thank you. I will do that. I appreciate your help.
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:The deciding factor is the speed of progression
Doctor:which in your case I feel is fast enough to be worried
Doctor:is there anything else you would like to ask me?
User:That covers it. thank you for your help.
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:have a good day ahead
