User:Hi, my wife is pregnant in her 9th month just started. She is suffering from cough & cold since yesterday night, we are unable to contact our consulting doctor as today is sunday, can you please suggest some remidy
Doctor:Firstly it is ok to get cold and cough during pregnancy
Doctor:How bad is the runny nose?
User:oh, ok
User:not much, bt she is having headace
User:she couldnt sleep yesterday night
Doctor:How bad is the cough?
User:coughing every 10 mins
User:lightly though
Doctor:So it is not that bad
Doctor:Does she have fever?
User:No, no fever
Doctor:For headache brufen works better than paracetamol
User:so it is ok to take a brufen?
Doctor:But in pregnancy paracetamol is advised usually
Doctor:Thus I think she can try paracetamol 500 mg (crocin)
Doctor:It should work
Doctor:It can be taken upto 3 - 4 times a day
Doctor:It should be taken only if symptoms are present

Doctor:For cold and cough, if it gets worse she can take cetirizine tb
