Hi
hello doctor
i am suffering from stiff neck from yesterday morning
Have you tried any treatment for the stiff neck?
Does it hurt while you turn / move the head?
yes
not yet i have been appling zandu balm and putting hot water massage
yes it is paining when i turn my head
i got this after i woke up yesterday morning
Has the massage helped with the pain/stiffness?
Are you feeling better?
yes it got reduced little bit but again it is comming
Ok
Let me explain.
Stiff neck usually is due to muscle strain / pull.
It occurs commonly due to improper position while sleeping.
Such muscle strains resolve spontaneously with time.
Pain balms and heat compression speed up the recovery in many cases.
what can i do any home remedies
It's unfortunate that it hasn't helped much in your case.
SO I suggest you to apply medicated formulas such as volini gel / spray.
Alternate brands are powergesic.
Continue to warm compression with hot water bags and avoid sudden movements of the neck.
ok
Symptoms should resolve in a the next day or two.
any tablets i can take
If symptoms worsen, you will need a soft neck collar.
The medicated formula I suggested has medical drugs which act locally at the applied region.
That should suffice.
If symptoms do not feel better, you can take other pain killers such as brufen through a prescription from a doctor nearby.
Have you followed?
yes
Do you have any other query?
any neck exercises i can do releive
Avoid neck exercises when you have pain.
The exercise will aggravate the problem.
ok
You can perform any form of exercises when you are better.
Do you have any other query?
thats all docts
thank you very much
Thanks for consulting me.
Bye for now.
thats all doctor thankyou very much
bye
In addition,
make sure the mattress and pillows you use is not too hard or too soft.
And do not use more than one pillow for the neck.
If you feel pain or discomfort with the current position / pillow, you need to change it accordingly.
