Doctor :   hi.
User :   I have been having a dull pain int the lower part of my right neck, followed by a cold chill down my right arm and it
User :   is painful when I raise my arm, in my shoulder and across the front of my chest near that bone that goes straight across...sorry I forget what its called
User :   my right arm was cold and my left arm was warm
Doctor :   ok. how often do you get these symptoms?
User :   the right side of my neck, not my right neck
Doctor :   please provide your age, height, weight, details of past medical illness and treatment if any
User :   I believe I've had it before but maybe It went away right away or I ignored it.....not often
User :   38, 110 lbs, 5'2"
User :   no previous medical illnesses....I did have a car accident earlier this year and had some back pain but I haven't in a while and this developed this afternoon, not after waking up and having slept on it wrong or anything. it started with the pain in my neck which didn't feel muscular.
User :   and the pain is not in my back at all
Doctor :   ok. is it accompanied with sensation loss in the affected arm?
User :   I noticed a TINY bit of tingling earlier but no numbness....
User :   the coolness was distinct and pretty sudden. like I had been injected with something that I felt coursing down my arm
Doctor :   ok.
Doctor :   is there any chest discomfort or tightness associated?
Doctor :   is there any breathing trouble or palpitations associated?
Doctor :   do you have upper stomach discomfort, burping, belching?
User :   well, as I mentioned when I raise my right arm there is pain in my shoulder and pain across the top right of my chest near my shoulder and neck
User :   no stomach discomfort, burping or belching
Doctor :   does the symptoms get worse with activities ? or are they same even when you are at rest?
User :   it's just tonight. I just finished vacuuming and that did not feel good but did not worsen it per se
Doctor :   which activities/movements of the arm bring on the symptoms?
User :   well the neck pain was without activity....
User :   it's constant and it just hurts worse when I raise my right arm
Doctor :   ok. trhen in that case I would recommend an examination to be done by your doctor/orthopedic surgeon to see if the symptoms are musculoskeletal in origin
User :   the pain in my neck felt like it was vascular or circulatory, but I'm no expert
Doctor :   you will need an X-ray to be done
Doctor :   for seeing if the cardiac cause is involved or if vascular in origin, then a doppler scan will help along with EKG done immediately after the symptom episode
Doctor :   in the meantime avoid any activities that can aggravate the symptoms
Doctor :   maintain a simple and easy to digest diet
