User :   I went for an MRI yesterday, cervical pain for the last 4 years. Findings results: c2-3 disc interval demonstrates disc dessication/mild disc height loss and mild discogenic endplate marrow fatty infiltrative Modic II change of the inferior c2 endplate. C2-3 capacious spinal canal and neural foramina. Unremarkable dorsal annulus and facets. C4-5: Dorsal annulus central high intensity zone fissure. Diffuse dorsal low signal disc bulge of 1.5-2.0mm, which mildly narrows the spinal canal, midsagittal 1-11mm. Capacious bilateral neural foramina. Unremarkable uncinate joints/facets. My pain is only on both side of my neck and to the top of my shoulders , where the base of the neck meets with the shoulders. I have no tingling or numbness in my arm or hands. Can you explain what the radilogist means by all this medical terminology?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   let me read ur query
User :   Hello doctor, midsagittal is 10-11mm
Doctor :   please not the description here - " c2-3 disc interval demonstrates disc dessication/mild disc height loss and mild discogenic endplate marrow fatty infiltrative Modic II change of the inferior c2 endplate " - indicates that there are degenerative changes in the C2 - C3 spine with a reduced disc space
Doctor :   similar changes in the C4 5 zone , has lead to slight reduction in the spinal canal space, but no current involvement of the spinal canal
Doctor :   rest of the report seems normal
Doctor :   you may benefit by a cervical collar as well as maintaining a good posture
Doctor :   your issues of pain could be due to muscle spasm and bad posture
Doctor :   Have you followed my commments ?
User :   There was a MRI done on my right elbow it demonstartes severe tendon edema involving 12mm of the tendon from its insertion and involving the full AP thickness of the tendon of approximately 10mm. Can you give some hint , what this is?
Doctor :   It indicates there is inflammation at the tendon insertion point, tendinitis
Doctor :   you need to rest your arm and use a splint so that you can rest your arm muscles
User :   Thanks doctor, bye
Doctor :   this is called tendinitis in other words
Doctor :   I hope i have answered ur questions
Doctor :   Do u have any other query
User :   so there is no abnormality with my neck?
Doctor :   you have slight degenerative changes at 2 levels C2-3 and C 4-5
Doctor :   These are due to bad posture
Doctor :   this could be spondylitis or osteoarthritis related
User :   why am i in pain all 24 hours of the day, exhausted all post-operative surgery treatments
Doctor :   as i mentioned earlier using a cervical collar as well as methods such as heat massage can help
Doctor :   Have u undergone any surgeries ?
Doctor :   if so what was the reason for them ?
User :   the surgeon wanted to do 2 acdf at 2 levels, before this new mri. Now I have to go back again and see another doctor.
User :   i haven't had no cervical surgeries
Doctor :   ok, this could mean he wants to stabilise the cervical joints
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me here , bye for now
