User :   I have seen the same doctor for adult ADD for 8 years. I take 20 mg adderall xr and have never seen this particular doctor for anything else, due to her "bedside manner". she was just close to my home.
I also saw my family physician about these bad spider veins that hurt terribly, being on my feet daily teaching elementary school. After the lortab 20 didnt work at all, and only made me very sick without them, I asked around for an answer. I was sent to a doctor who prescribes suboxone. This was almost 1 year ago exactly. The first visit, I shared all my medical hisotory, that I did have adult ADD and took my adderall, etc. etc.
She put me on suboxone which helped right away and took that pain medicine sicness away. We also determined, over a bit of time, that i may have been using the pain meds to "help" with all the stress, anxiety, and a bit of depression in my life. Im a single mom of 3, run a home alone, pay the mortgage, one in college, a 17 year old, and a 7 year old and work at a Title I demanding school.
Things were finally much better, and i had thought of telling the suboxone doctor I would begin cutting back on the suboxone, then the xanax I take at night to "stop the constand dread and worrying 'what did I not get done today'".
Before this could happen, out of no where ( well I know where thanks to the office manager that swears I didnt hear from her), the suboxone doctors bussiness tripled, paperwork was not in all files, etc.
So a year later she calls my ADD doctor who says "no, i wont give her her adderall
, she could have come to me if she was depressed"....then my suboxone doctor says at m next visit she was stopping my busperone and xananx after this time too. !!!!
i was a model patient, paid on time, in full, made all appts. and was 100% honest each step of the way. Im paying (so she presumes) for a clerical mistake they didnt catch 10
User :   months back. what are my options. Please help. Im worried for my mental and phsical health.
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Let me read your query for few minutes to be able to have a good discussion here.
User :   yes, ok
Doctor :   Thats not acceptable , the medicine you are taking has to be recorded well and kept a constant eye on the dosages
User :   Yes, I know, but if she is refusing, what are my alternatives? To threatened to go to whom? to do what?
Doctor :   I would advice you to go to a Psychiatrist not an internist this time
Doctor :   give your all medicine history and get a new dosage schedule from him and follow it strictly
Doctor :   Also you can present the same to a psychiatrist in our panel of specialist and get a opinion via mil or phone
User :   but until I find one, it is her job not to let me go "cold turkey" and risk all the side effects and sickness i will experience. Plus, I have rights since i have paid her thousands and did nothing wrong. She should at least have to find me some to see, or continue watching m dosage and health until one if found...i work full time!
Doctor :   i can help you
User :   and how does that work
Doctor :   thats why a specialist is preferred in sensitive cases like yours
User :   so how can you help me at this time
Doctor :   a green pop up in the right will guide you
Doctor :   well do not let any GP or a Internist to deal with your medicines from now
Doctor :   let the specialist do this
Doctor :   Are you there ?
