Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi im a 21 year old woman and this past wednesday i went to the doctor and was diagnosed with an ear infection and prescribed Amoxicillin.
Doctor :   ok
User :   I have taken it since then and at first there was a loud constant ringing and it cleared up in my left ear
User :   the second day though my right ear started making a clicking sound every time id chew
Doctor :   ok
User :   yesterday my left ear started doing the same but went away
Doctor :   ok
User :   today i woke up with both ears congested
Doctor :   ok
User :   and my left ear is ringing again
Doctor :   ok
User :   im scared the antibiotics are not working
Doctor :   u r taking since past wednesday
User :   yes
Doctor :   so it is 4 days
Doctor :   Do u have ear discharge
User :   i noticed a little bit of dried up stuff
User :   not much
Doctor :   Tell me is the infection better or worse or same
User :   well when i first went in my ears were plugged but didnt hurt and initially went in for a sore throat that was reoccuring for 3 weeks along with sinus problems
User :   my right ear was the one giving me a bit of real pain though
User :   she diagnosed my left ear with infection
User :   and she said my right ear was either getting better or starting to get an infection
Doctor :   Usually amoxicillin works
Doctor :   wait for 10 days
User :   she prescribed clarytin and amoxicillin
Doctor :   it will treat infection
Doctor :   continue the course
Doctor :   because there is no much discharge from ear I hope it will treat the infection
Doctor :   have u used the amoxicillin before
User :   no
User :   i never had before
Doctor :   that is good
Doctor :   so bacteria t\really first time expposed to amoixillin in ur boidy
Doctor :   it works
User :   i was on eurothromyicn for 10 days 3 weeks prior
Doctor :   My recommendation now is continue the course
User :   for a different ailment
Doctor :   and use Pheduphedrin 2-3 times also to relieve congestion
Doctor :   that is different antibitic though
Doctor :   when u use same antibitic bacteria gets reiststant, but it has not happened in u now
Doctor :   some times the bacteria it self now days are resisttn to Amoxicillin but still 90& of the times it works
Doctor :   Trust me
User :   even though my symptoms are getting slightly worse
User :   before i went in i didnt have that clicking everytime i chewed on my right ear
Doctor :   u have no discharge
Doctor :   if u feel that is not working , get examined again anbd change the antibitics
Doctor :   There is possible
Doctor :   because u feel the symptosm more than me
Doctor :   some bacteria are resistent but they dye slowly
Doctor :   because it is simple infection, not complicated It will get bvetter
Doctor :   but if u feeld it is getting worse , change antibitics
Doctor :   Amoxicillin-clavulanic acid is the best
Doctor :   Called Augmentin
Doctor :   Do u follow me?
User :   yes
Doctor :   Do you have any other Q?
User :   i just wanted to know if worsening symptoms were normal if you were on antibiotics
Doctor :   Symptoms always get better on antibitics
Doctor :   they never get worse
Doctor :   if u strongly feel they r getting worse , make a move
Doctor :   Because I have ro rely on what u say , change antibitics
Doctor :   *to
User :   thank you very much
Doctor :   Thnak you for consulting
Doctor :   Bye
