User :   I had my last period on 29.04. I am quite sure I conceived after 20.05. On the 25th of June I had a slight bleeding/spotting (only when I wiped) which lasted for a day and a half. I had a scan on 26.06 which did not show anything. Then I had two blood tests on the 26.06 and on the 28.06. The second one showed hcg had fallen. Does it mean miscarriage or is there any chance for this pregnancy? I feel well, even when I had spotting I did not have any cramps or pain. I am going for another blood test on July 8th.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Iam
Doctor :   Let me read your query
User :   Hello! I'm xxx.
Doctor :   Did you do an urinary pregnancy test?
Doctor :   Was your blood hcg levels positive for pregnancy?
User :   Yes, I did 5 tests and they were all positive. 3 tests before the staining and 2 tests after the visit to the doctor.
Doctor :   Did your doctor confirm a pregnancy?
User :   Yes, hcg was positive after the first blood test.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   Doctor confirmed the pregnancy.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Spotting can be present
Doctor :   usually early in pregnancy
Doctor :   even with out any chance of abortion
User :   What about the second blood test which showed that hcg had fallen?
Doctor :   if there is any chance of abortion a pain would be tere
User :   Does it mean that there was or is a risk of miscarriage?
Doctor :   Did you do an usg abdomen
Doctor :   no not in every cases
User :   They did a scan on 25.06 but nothing was visible - the doctor said that it might have been to early to see anything
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   early spotting can occur due to hormonal changes in the body
Doctor :   Anything heavier than light spotting should be reported to an emergency care physician immediately.
Doctor :   do you remember the color of spotting?
Doctor :   Any spotting or bleeding that is bright red in nature is also a sign to seek emergency medical treatment.
Doctor :   However, for the most part, regular spotting in early or late pregnancy is normal.
Doctor :   During the first seven to ten days of your pregnancy, you may experience some spotting as the fetus attaches itself to the uterine wall.
User :   It was pinkish and later a bit darker red
Doctor :   Only ten percent of women who experience spotting miscarry
User :   Do you think that the levels of hcg decide whether the pregnancy is viable? My doctor said it might be a case of a failed pregnancy.
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   HCG Levels rises earlier in pregnancy
Doctor :   and towards the end it declines
Doctor :   if the fetus is not viable or a miscarriage has occured in uterus that also decreases
Doctor :   bhcg
Doctor :   if your hCG levels are low then this may mean that your conception date was miscalculated; that you may have an ectopic pregnancy or that you may be in danger of having a miscarriage. However, it is also possible to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy with low levels.
Doctor :   Are you there?
Doctor :   Can you tell me your age?
