User :   Hi I have a strange tingling sensation in both my feet that goes up to about mid-calf. I also seem to be very shaky as well. I also have been dealing w some severe anxiety issues. Racing heart, short of breath and feelings that something is seriously wrong with me. I have been to the er twice had a blood work up and cat scan that were all normal. I also have seen my gp and a neurologist for fear of ms. Both say no and the neuro said a MRI is not needed. I have been taking Xanax and my gp believes this all is anxiety related. Can this be? I have always dealt w anxiety but never so bad. My appetite is gone and just looking for any suggestions or if taking an anti anxiety is the way to go.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
Doctor :   let me read yiur query
Doctor :   can i know ur age, weight height and occupation please ?
User :   32 weight is 120 and I am a teacher
Doctor :   do these symptoms come in episodic pattern or are present constantly?
User :   They come and go but for the past few days they seem to be constant when I am concentrating on other things like work, I barely notice it. Also if I move my legs around the tingling gets better for a few minutes. The high anxiety has been going on for nearly 6 weeks I also have a family history of anxiety. My feet are never numb and I can always move them and there is no pain
Doctor :   so u mean to say that u have a constant need to move your limbs ?
Doctor :   does the sensation disturb ur sleep as well?
User :   Yes it seems like the more I move them the less tingly they feel
User :   I have been taking Xanax to sleep because my anxiety causes insomnia but when I wake up the tingling isn't as bad and gets worse during the day especially at night
Doctor :   your condition could be restless leg syndrome. which is seen as a part of anziety associated disorders as well

User :   Can you have that all day? And how can that be diagnosed?
Doctor :   yes it can be present in most part of the day

Doctor :   it is diagnosed clincially
User :   What do you take to relieve it? Any type of medication? Do I go back to my gp about this?
Doctor :   it can be treated with medication called as Mirapex, available by prescription only
User :   Will the anti anxiety medication help at all?
Doctor :   your GP can procide it for you
Doctor :   yes they will
User :   Ok thank you very much this doesn't sound like ms to you though?
Doctor :   no its not MS

User :   Ok thank you I will look into that could I try a vitamin b12 supplement as well
Doctor :   It helps in other ways

User :   Ok thank you
Doctor :   but is not useful in this condition though
