Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
User :   my wife is 5 weeks pregrant and 2 days ago she had slight this normal or does it indicate some problem with pregnancy
Doctor :   Slight bleeding can be normal, but it needs to be investigated thoroughly
User :   the doctor advised a sonograghy and there was somme internal bleeding around the fetus
Doctor :   Ok
User :   she advised we will have to wait for another sonogralhy after 15 days to know if the fetus if growing or not
User :   is it true , that there is no other test with which u can find whether the fetus is growing?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   Not at this time
Doctor :   The other way you can check is, Serum Beta HCG levels every 48 hours
Doctor :   Was it a Vaginal Ultrasound or abdominal ultrasound
User :   USG
Doctor :   Serum BetaHCG is not very sensitve as an Ultrasound
Doctor :   but stll can give an idea
User :   is Serum BETAHCG a blood test ?
Doctor :   Yes you can ask your doctor if it is in her mind
User :   ok, are there any other conditions from which u can tell that the fetus is gorwing or the general pregrnancy related conditions for my wife, craving for food, nausea etc
User :   she continues to have nausea and craving for food in the middle of night etc
User :   does this indicate that the fetus is still growing?
Doctor :   Let me say honestly that it is too early to say anything about the wellbeing of the foetus
Doctor :   None of the tests are 100% sensitive less than 7 weeks
Doctor :   So you just have to say your wife, she has to rest a lot
Doctor :   No mental or physical stress at all
Doctor :   to retain the chances of pregnancy
User :   yeah, the doctor has advised complete bed rest
Doctor :   So do as per the advice and follow it up with your doctor
User :   ok thanks
Doctor :   Did you follow what I say?
Doctor :   Do you have any more questions
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now
