Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hello
Doctor :   I am Dr AAAAAAA
User :   I need your help
Doctor :   How can I help you ?
User :   I had a spondilosis attack in Sept 09. Under consultation with an orthopaedic Doctor at xxxxx, area at which I live, I started with physiotherapy and was also under medication
User :   My problem here are two: User :   1. In spite of regular exercise i.e daily, i still experience frequent pain in my cervical area.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Ok
User :   2. My left index finger still has limited sensation and still continues to pulsate. I was recommended daily intake of "Neurobeon tablet", but there has been no impact.
User :   What do you suggest as the way forward..
Doctor :   Do you use any cervical collar ?
User :   I used to in the initial days and now limit to only during extreme pain Or long travel
Doctor :   How about your bed , how do use your pillow or what bed do use ?
User :   I sleep on a regular bed, with a soft mattress and extremely thin/soft pillow.
User :   Hi Dr AAAAAAA .. you still there ?
Doctor :   I feel your doctor might have advised a hard bed ?
Doctor :   Whic is the most important recommendation.
Doctor :   Using a soft two bed sheets is allowable rather than a pillow.
User :   OK
User :   Let me try it for a week and I could get back to you, which is, sleep on a mat/carpet (since I do not have a hard bed) and also try on the 2 bed sheet solution.
Doctor :   I also need to tell you that least neck movements, jerks, bike driving can cause more damage than the initial problem and keep agraavting the problem.
User :   Is it preferable to lie on the back while sleeping ?
User :   Yes, I will exercise caution.
Doctor :   Please do not lie down on the floor.
Doctor :   Bending down can cause more harm, please use a carpet on the bed.
Doctor :   And it will surely help.
User :   OK.
User :   Do you suggest any medication for this problem
User :   And for problem 2, which is my left index finger ?
Doctor :   For your left index finger which is supplied by c5 & c6 roots you need to work on physiotherapy for biceps, triceps, supinator muscles which are supplied by same nerve roots.
User :   Your recommending an exercise, right ?
User :   Do I need to see a physio or can do this at home?
Doctor :   Yes, a physiotherapist can assess the power in your index & thumb , and recommend accordingly.
User :   OK. Thanks Dr AAAAAAA
User :   Is it possible to reach you again, say after a week, since you now know & understand my problem.
Doctor :   Yes very much , i would also like to have a word with you on phone, and hence forth you can come back after a week's time.
User :   Sure. What number can I reach you on ?
Doctor :   Please confirm your no. and I think the Health care team will connect with you.
Doctor :   I strongly feel you need to see a proper neurologist rather than an ortho now, who is also a spine spaecialist.
User :   My number is 0000 0000.
Doctor :   Ok , will ask the healthcare team to connect with you.
Doctor :   Take care.
User :   Thank You Doctor. and bye.
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me.
