User :   and i woke up a couple days ago and my vagina is sore and swollen

Doctor :   Since how long are you having this? IS there any burning, itching or discharge from it?
User :   its been 2 days it doesnt burn or itch or no discharge
User :   not that i can see anyway cuz i am on my period

User :   no a day before my peroid
Doctor :   Is there any other symptom present other than this? Are your periods normal?
User :   yes its normal its just red and swollen. its just feels sore
User :   everything seems from the outside meaning the lip
Doctor :   It can be due to any fungal, viral or bacterial infection or may be any allergy.
User :   i do have a history of UTI and bacterial infections
Doctor :   Do you have any problem in urination right now?
User :   not really
Doctor :   1)Wash your vagina and surrounding area with 1tbsp TEA TREE OIL dissolved in 1 glass of water twice a day.
Doctor :   1)DO not wear too tight undies.
Doctor :   3)Wash the area twice with any antibacterial soap and water twice and keep the area dry.
Doctor :   4)Have more of curd and curd items in diet.
User :   where can i get tea tree oil
Doctor :   5)Avoid having unprotected intercourse.
Doctor :   You can get in any body shop or Health care Shop.
User :   we always use condoms
User :   what do i have?
Doctor :   Since i am not examining it i cannot comment but it seems like an infection which can be either fungal, viral or bacterial.
Doctor :   If all these things do not help you at all then you need to get it examined and also may require investigations like PAP smear to confirm the cause.
Doctor :   If the symptoms like discharge from vagina and burning in urine is there then you need to get urine examination also done.

Doctor :   Not really but you can continue, there is no harm in it.

Doctor :   6)Apply Vitamin E oil on the sore areas for soothing it.
Doctor :   You can see for 5 to 7 days but if the symptoms increase then go for examination.
User :   would Vaseline work
Doctor :   You can apply but not too much.

Doctor :   It is nothing to be worried of, infections are common, just you have to be Hygienic and keep the area clean and dry.
Doctor :   Also avoid using washrooms other than your home because women have the chances of getting UTI very soon.
Doctor :   Drink lots of water.
User :   i always thought i was very hygenic i guess not.
Doctor :   Water deficiency also makes prone to UTI and infections.
