User :   i was just wondering how does smoking increase chances of getting type 2 diabetes?
Doctor :   Yes smoking is a risk factor for many conditions
Doctor :   One of them is Diabetes
Doctor :   Smoking does not help human to utilise the insulin secreted
Doctor :   by the pancreas
User :   what i have heard is, it raises blood sugar but i dont know how
Doctor :   If the insulin cannot be uptake by the cell then the glucose is not properly utilised by the cell
Doctor :   and thus there is increase in blood sugar
