Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Dr XXXXXX here
Doctor :   plz proceed with query
User :   My wife is 36 weeks pregnant...we got her ultrasound done today
Doctor :   Ok
User :   everything looks normal...except it has "single loop cord seen around the neck"
User :   our gynec says we can't do anything about it now
Doctor :   Thats normal you dont have to worry
Doctor :   we cant do anything now
Doctor :   there are chances the baby casn releive by itself from the knot
Doctor :   As its a single loop there are chances for knot to remove itself during the babys movents down the uterus
Doctor :   Even during delivery we can remove the knot as head mostly comes out first
User :   so it won't harm the baby then. Will it lead to C-Section?
Doctor :   In some cases we findthe knot to get tighter making the baby hypoxic and reduced fetal heart sounds then we immidietly plan for ceaserian
Doctor :   Thats more of 40% chances
Doctor :   But there are many of normal delevieries occured with single loop cord around neck#
Doctor :   Any how we have to wait as we cant make any interventions now
Doctor :   IF baby was less than 28 weeks then baby has more chances to ratate inside the uterus which is now not possible so we have to waiut and watch
Doctor :   Just be cautious in noticing any decreased fetal movements for a long period
User :   Sure, thanks a lot doctor
User :   good night
Doctor :   Your wife can easily make out fetal distress if she feels baby is not moving actively
Doctor :   immdietly report to the doctor
Doctor :   tahnkyou for consulting me
Doctor :   *tahnkyou
User :   Yup, will do
User :   thank you
Doctor :   Wishing you all the best
User :   Thanks again
Doctor :   And a happy father hood
Doctor :   Bye for now
User :   :) bi now
