User :   hello
Doctor :   Please proceed with your query
User :   I am a 50 year old female, and because I am always nervous of blood clots (my mother died from one that moved into her heart right after surgery, she was 66) my friend told me i should be taking an enteric coated 81mg asprin a day, so i started to do this about a month and a half ago. now i've read on ine that one of the side effects can be bleeding in the i'm scared. I've had some weird sensations in my head the last couple of days..mostly across the top, the back and across the forehead..feeling of tightness and relaxing, or a quick stab.....
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   Bleeding is different from blood clotting
User :   yes...
Doctor :   Your mother had blood clots
Doctor :   Aspirin is usually given to prevent the blood from clotting.
User :   she always had vericose veins, and sufferd from flabitis(don't know if that's the way to spell it)
Doctor :   ok
It can be used as a preventive measure
User :   yes...i started taking it because a friend of mine said every one over 40 should take one..
User :   but don't want to have bleeding in the brain..
User :   and now i have these strange "sensations"
Doctor :   Over dosage of Aspirin can cause bleeding
User :   ok..i have been taking one 81mg a day for about 45 days...
Doctor :   Do not worry about the sensations
User :   so should i be concerned..
Doctor :   It should be fine
User :   I am going to stop taking the aspirin that ok?
Doctor :   I suggest you to visit a doctor, get your routine blood tests done and then decide about whether to continue aspirin or not.
User :   ok..but it's safe to stop taking it today..until after i have my tests?
Doctor :   Aspirin can be used or stopped depending on your bleeding time and clotting time tests
User :   how can i test my clotting time?
Doctor :   Yes,You can stop it for time being
User :   ok..thank you.
Doctor :   Get these tests done and then ask your doctor's approval to continue aspirin or not
Doctor :   Is there any other query that i may answer?
User :   ok, i will make appt for blood work today..
Doctor :   Good
Doctor :   Do not worry till then
User :   ok..
