User :   I have a severe piercing pain on the heel of my left foot for the last 10 days

User :   No.... its a piercing pain

Doctor :   There are two possibilities
Doctor :   1. Plantar fascitis 2. Calcaneal spur
User :   Reason ?? .... Cure ??
Doctor :   The manage is like this: Doctor :   In plantar fascitis there is inflation of fascitia in foot
Doctor :   In calcaneal spurs there is over growth of bone . These are called spurs. spurs pres son fascia and cause pain
Doctor :   To know the whether you have calcaneal spurs you need physical examination and xray of foot
Doctor :   It is better you take consult orthopedics after the foot x ray
Doctor :   Regarding cure: Doctor :   You need well fitting shoe
Doctor :   sole should be soft. Hell should not be too high.

Doctor :   Well fitting show decrease strain on spurs and fascia
Doctor :   2. Use Ibuprofen 600mg 2-3 times a day for pain for 4-5 days
Doctor :   3. Soak the foot in hot hot water for 30 min
