Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello dr
Doctor :   Hi , how can i help you ?
User :   i recently had a tooth decay and went to a dentist who advised me a root canal
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   So do u have any specific question about it ?
User :   today was my first sitting and she told she opened the 3 roots
User :   she gave me 2 injections because i had pain
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   may i know your age ?
User :   whenever she used to touch the tissue i trembeled with pain
User :   32
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   So do u have any specific question about it ?
User :   i want to ask she said now the 2nd step is that
User :   she would be cleaning and taking measurements
User :   will it pain again?
Doctor :   The tooth is made up of 3 layers
Doctor :   the inner root is very pain sensitive as it is connected to a large no of nerve fibres
Doctor :   the outer and middle layers are less pain sensitive
Doctor :   the pain that you had in the initial sessions were during the process of injecting the anesthetic medications
Doctor :   now , in the second sesstion, the pain will be there, only when she touches the root
Doctor :   But it will be considerably less than the first session
User :   no she said she has removed the nerve bloood supply
User :   and she said she will be taking measurements using needles
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   that is true, the length needed to be measured is very small and this can be done with a needle
User :   so will that pain
Doctor :   When the needle touches any pain sensitive structures, there will be a minimal sensitivity
Doctor :   But this will be very less
Doctor :   taking pain killers before the procedure can help you get over the pain
Doctor :   usually anxiety about the procedure increases the pain more
User :   where will she insert the needle in the skin?
Doctor :   when u are relaxed and confident, you will be able to tolerate any pain better
Doctor :   no
Doctor :   the needle is inserted from the top of the tooth
Doctor :   not from the gums, or skin
User :   so what is the last point of the needle
User :   where will it touch the last inside
Doctor :   the needle only will touch the root inside the tooth, this will be about 5 mm to7
Doctor :   not deeper than that
User :   means it will definately pain
Doctor :   any procedure wll defintely have some minimal pain
Doctor :   taking pain killers before the procedure can help you get over the pain
User :   will anesthsia eliminate pain if needles toucjes roort
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   definitely
Doctor :   if injections of pain relievers are given the pain will not be felt
User :   she said when it touched the live tissue it pained
Doctor :   that will be there, if adequate anesthesia is not reached the site
User :   so is that pain similar to when needle touches the root
Doctor :   yes
User :   oh my god i am really worried
Doctor :   there is no need to worry
User :   it pained today a lot'
User :   so when needles will be inserted how much will be the pain thinking that i am disturbed'
Doctor :   have u taken any pain killers ?
User :   no
Doctor :   if u had taken it u would have not felt it at all
User :   but painkillers and anesthesia together will it have side effects
Doctor :   no
Doctor :   not at all
User :   ok which pain killler u suggest
Doctor :   ibuprofen
Doctor :   800 mg will be good
User :   ok
User :   so it will have no sensation at all when it will touch the root right
Doctor :   yes
User :   she said she would be doing the cleaning with machine
Doctor :   ok
User :   then while filling also does tht pain
Doctor :   not much at all
Doctor :   are u there ?
User :   yes
User :   i am
Doctor :   Do u have any other medical queries ?
User :   she had prescribed me some antibiotics
User :   amoxycillin
Doctor :   ok
User :   due to which i think i have heat issues inside the inner lining of the cheeks
Doctor :   It seems that you have issues basically due to anziety
User :   yes i am very much afraid of dental treatments
Doctor :   Just relax, you are not alone in that
Doctor :   dental procedures are painful
Doctor :   but if you take medications prior
Doctor :   it will help to control the pain
User :   anyways thanks
Doctor :   perhaps u had not taken them before your last session, hence u had more pain
User :   my issues are addressed
Doctor :   You are welcome
Doctor :   I hope i have solved ur queirs
Doctor :   please leve ur feeback as u log out
User :   sure
Doctor :   take care and bye for now
Doctor :   relax and be confident before the procedure
