User :   Hello Dr I am plagued with severe back , neck and shoulder pain constantly .
Doctor :   What is you age, and nature of your job.
User :   The menstrual cycle adds to this already torturous pains .Can I do anything to alleviate this pain ?
User :   Actually I have had these aches on and off post pregnancies .My daughters are now 17 & 14 and it is getting worse .
Doctor :   ok.Do you take frequent breaks at work.
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I ma 37 and I am at a desk job I work in marketing and I work close to about 12-13 hoursa day .
User :   Exercise thrice a weeka nd teh pain reduces post work outs .
Doctor :   What kind of chair do you use at office,soft, hard,cushion back
User :   Yes. As frequently as possible.
Doctor :   As much as possible try to sit in a straight backed hard chair
User :   It is an ergonomically sound chair as far as I see. It does have a good support for the lower back .
Doctor :   No cushion, try to maintain a straight posture, not with shoulder drooping, back drooping
User :   Ok.
Doctor :   Work with both your hands on the table
Doctor :   Use the lift more frequently than chairs
User :   Ok.

User :   Ok.I try to climb stairs at every opportunity .
Doctor :   Do regular exercises, when you come home from work lie down on the floor on your tummy with your head placed above the pillow
User :   Could this be on account of calcium deficiency ?
Doctor :   It can be both due to calcium defeiciency and bad posture
Doctor :   You wil have to chech your bone density
Doctor :   Bone density levels
User :   During the cycle ,my knees also hurt .
Doctor :   If it is low and serum calcium levels are low you should start on calcium tablets
Doctor :   Try exercising daily and apply hot fomentation on the area of pain
Doctor :   Reduce salt and spicy food before your periods
Doctor :   This will reduce some of your joing pains
User :   ok. I generally use an elliptical during exercise .
Doctor :   Drink milk everyday, include fish in your diet .If you like sea food you can have shell fish, salmon
Doctor :   These increase your calcium levels and the oil in this fish also increase your omega 3 fatty acid
