User :   Hi
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   I have a question related to dermatology
Doctor :   yes, please proceed
User :   If the ball of your foot is harder than others (due to dead skin cells and etc)
User :   is it a serious problem?
Doctor :   do you mean about the malleolus ?
User :   the bottom of your feet
Doctor :   ok, i get it , not the skin being hard is not a problem
User :   when I touch the bottom of my feet it is rough and dry
Doctor :   since when do you notice the same ?
User :   for a long time
User :   Is this a common thing for everyone?
Doctor :   yes, it is common think to occur
Doctor :   thing*
User :   it's just the outer surface of the skin that becomes hard and dry right?
User :   cuz when I press the undersurface of my feet they are still kinda spongy
Doctor :   yes, the subcutaneous tissue is not affected it involves the temporary epidermis and it will be shed off over time
User :   and doctor, this might sound like a funny question but can I just ask you one more thing
Doctor :   yes, please
User :   I'm just asking this question to make sure if I now understand the whole mechanism of foot skin and bone
Doctor :   please proceed
User :   Can the roughness, dryness, (or softness, smoothness) or hardness of your foot affect your height measurement?
Doctor :   no it does not affect the height , the skin changes can bring difference only in millimeters
User :   So whether a person measures his or her height on rough foot skin or soft foot skin won't make any difference.. is that what you mean?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   which also means rough skin is not a serious issue
Doctor :   yes,
User :   how many more minutes do we have doctor?
Doctor :   i too m not shown the clock ,may be 5 minute ,
User :   and sorry but just one more question about what I asked earlier...
Doctor :   please ask i am here to help you
User :   even if your skin is hard when you stand on the floor it gets pressed down in the same way when your skin is soft right?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   Hi doctor I'm sorry my time ran out
User :   I had to recharge
Doctor :   its ok
User :   so what can I do to get rid of this rough skin?
User :   I heard that it is not very effective to scrub them with a stone
Doctor :   Apply cream which do contain salycylic acid
User :   salycylic acid
User :   okay
User :   i'll remember that
Doctor :   no do not do that , stone can cause abrasions and infections
User :   ah i see
Doctor :   also you can rub cut lemons over it , it will help
User :   wow I never knew that!
Doctor :   And i repeat its normal to have such hard skin
Doctor :   also it is good to have it
User :   okay! thank you =)
User :   and if your foot's callused or rough and dry,
User :   does it mean that your foot has run down a bit?
User :   of course new cells we form and stuff
User :   but
Doctor :   Its just the modification and adaptation of the skin to the actions it is involved and to the environment its is exposed
User :   i see
Doctor :   yes, only the epidermis
User :   which means it does not affect your height measurement at all right?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   Okay, so it's not serious and rather kinda good to have rough skin
User :   thank you so much doctor
User :   I learned a lot from you
User :   and now I feel more comfortable
User :   I thought it was a serious thing
User :   cuz my friends have been talking about all these nonsense (that I clarified with you awhile ago)
Doctor :   you are welcome
User :   their feet are even rougher than mine
User :   and they always use one of the stones
User :   from chemist shops
Doctor :   oh , then i attribute the cause being the environment there
User :   I see
User :   okay
User :   I'll tell them that
Doctor :   yes,
User :   cut lemon, salycylic acid
Doctor :   yes,
Thanks fr consulting me
User :   I don't have a stone scrub and I just wash my feet with hot water
Doctor :   thats good
User :   and they were saying how 'not good' it is to just leave it like that without scrubbing
User :   but it's all clear now
User :   I'll use the ones that you have recommended me
Doctor :   ok,
Doctor :   Ask for me , you will get
Doctor :   same time
User :   okay
User :   around this time of the day
User :   ?
Doctor :   kindly provide your feedback
User :   sure
Doctor :   yes, same time
User :   24/7?
User :   i mean any time of the week?
Doctor :   ah except on wednesdays and thursdays
User :   ah i see
User :   okay then...
User :   bye ~
Doctor :   Bye
Doctor :   take care
User :   thanx
