User :   but i searched the net ...think i was still in window period...
Doctor :   It must be Electrochemiluminiscence test which was negative
User :   doctor actually with the fever i had a strange feeling in my knee & thigh muscles....not exactly pain....but i fealt very week there
User :   yes u r correct
User :   i some how managed to tell my doctor that i had sex & really kind of worried
Doctor :   Since it was negative it means that at that moment it was negative but HIV can take months to appear.
User :   he said dont worry & advised me to a hic test after 06 weeks ...
Doctor :   You need to get a repeat test done after 2 to 3 months to confirm it.
User :   and he also gave me some medicine lenozep .25 mg....i think to reduce my anxiety
Doctor :   Do you have any symptom like fever, weight loss, any swelling, lymph node etc
User :   i have been constantly monitoring my weight.....
Doctor :   The knee pain could be due to anxiety and stress and also the medication prescribed is for that only
User :   weight is ok...infact i think i have increased a kg or two
Doctor :   Ok
User :   regarding fever....when ever the doctor measured was never there
User :   but i fealt i dont have that feeling too
Doctor :   You need not take unnecessary tension, also it was a protected intercourse
User :   only thing i m struggling with is pain...
User :   and that i feel it when i start thinking of contacting hiv
Doctor :   Is the knee pain present periodically or continuous?
Doctor :   It is because of your anxiety
User :   ok...
User :   doctor i have 2-3 questions
Doctor :   HIV comes up with many other symptoms as i have explained you
Doctor :   Please proceed.
User :   what are the chances of getting hiv from fever blisters ...
User :   i mean if they came in contact with penis
User :   i consulted another help line...medhelp...n they told.....its not possible....
User :   they say herpes can transmit hiv if u have unprotected genital sex
Doctor :   It depends on the nature of those blisters also but there are very minimal chances of transmitting HIV
Doctor :   Yes herpes can transmit it
User :   u mean that it is poosible though through oral sex as well
User :   also how soon the symptoms forcontacting hiv can surface
Doctor :   There are only 5% chances of oral transmission.
User :   oh..that means i m gr8 risk
Doctor :   Symptoms can come up from 3 weeks to 3 months.
User :   in my case it started from the 06 day of second encounter & 12 day of the first encounter
Doctor :   Since you have got the test done and it says negative you can go for a repeat test after 2 months to confirm the same.
User :   can they be attributed to hiv symptoms
User :   also as i told i was drenched in rain a day prior to the symptoms
Doctor :   Since they were cured by simple antibiotics they do not seem like that of hiv
User :   also doctor i was reading that you can get hiv duo test after 28 days that correct
Doctor :   Also the symptoms if present must have increased gradually
User :   ok....
User :   so can i get a test after 28 days of possible contact
User :   i mean the duo test....antigen & antibody test...i think something like p24
Doctor :
This HIV test can detect the HIV virus 28 days after infection and is called a "DUO" test because it combines an antibody test for the HIV 1 & 2 strains of the virus with an antigen test for the p24 antigen.
Doctor :   You can go for it
User :   ok....any idea where in u can get this done
User :   i am not getting any leads
User :   i m dying every day.....n not able to concentrate on my work.....
Doctor :   You can check in various HIV/AIDS testing centres which are in AIDS/HIV Treatment Centers in
Doctor :   Also in
Doctor :   Do not stress yourself and relax
Doctor :   Anxiety willl ead to other problems
User :   thanks...but it is easier said than done.....i think i was really stupid .....
Doctor :   You should be cautious from next time
User :   thanks doctor for your help.....please pray for me
User :   i will never get in it in future.....
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me, bye for now
