Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I woke up one day last spring and i had an extreme pain in my right shoulder. i have played baseball for years and never had any problems but i had recently stopped. anyways my right shoulder was in so much pain for about a week that i could not move it. i was too stubborn to see a doctor so when i finally did it was 3 months later and there was just pain off and on. they never figured out what it was. all they did was a few x rays. i pushed for a MRI because i thought it was a rotator cuff injury. they didnt believe me. so now it is about 8 months later and i still have pain and weakness in my shoulder. i lift weights all the time and every time i bench press my right shoulder pops. after i get done benching my shoulder becomes very sore. i still think it is my rotator cuff but i need help figuring this out before spending money on an MRI. can you please help?
User :   that is my story
Doctor :   May I know your age?
User :   20 years old
Doctor :   Do you notice swelling when ever you feel the pain?
User :   no there is no swelling but my shoulder hangs a little lower now after the injury
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   DId you dislocate your shoulder?
User :   no i dont think so becuase that is what they checked for on the xray
Doctor :   Based on your description, it appears to be a soft tissue injury, probably a stretched ligaments.
Doctor :   Its difficult to predict such injuries by an Xray alone.
User :   what would the popping be then?
Doctor :   MRI is the choice.
Doctor :   You will need good physiotherapy to help this condition.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   ok great thank you very much
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me. Bye for now.
