Right eye twitching. What to do? - Online Doctor Chats
How can I help you?
Dr my right eye has been twitching since 3 to 4 days
it gets very irritating, it is associated with a bad omen also
i sleep propoerly withour any disturbance, no eating disorders but still this happens every morning
The twitching that you notice happens due to involuntary contraction of small muscles of the eye.
This is referred to as ticks.
why does this happen?
The cause for this is usually not known, however I can assure you that they are not serious.
And definitely not ominous.
i hope so because everytime this happens my life jumps upside down in a disaster
Rarely, it can be an effect of electrolyte disturbances which can be corrected with proper hydration.
So do continue taking plenty of water.
but i drink 2 litres of water everyday
If symptoms are severe, you may need some mild sedatives which can be taken at night.
Your local doctor can prescribe it to you.
The medication is given to reduce the ticks.
Even without any medication, this tick problem will spontaneously go away in a few days.
So do not worry.
Have you followed?
actually i didnt know waht to do about ut
but its been hapenning since 3 to 4 days
I mean sometimes the more you concentrate on those ticks, the more they may happen.
that can be possible nad it happens vigorously, as if someone else can also see it
Hence it might help to ignore these contractions.
They will spontaneously go away.
:( ok stress is there but I try to avoid
even when I am happy it twitches
only the right eye
I suggest my patients to ignore these.
And many of my patients these ticks resolved quickly
when they ignore it.
Hence I encourage you to do that.
You are doing yourself good by taking plenty of water.
ok.. then i will let it happen
and wont bother much
Despite these if you feel they are worsening, you can visit your local doctor
who will prescribe you some medication such as mild sedatives
these will help you.
I assure you, they are not serious and you do not have to worry.
Hope it is clear.
