User:hello Dr
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:Dr my right eye has been twitching since 3 to 4 days
User:it gets very irritating, it is associated with a bad omen also
User:i sleep propoerly withour any disturbance, no eating disorders but still this happens every morning
Doctor:The twitching that you notice happens due to involuntary contraction of small muscles of the eye.
Doctor:This is referred to as ticks.
User:why does this happen?
Doctor:The cause for this is usually not known, however I can assure you that they are not serious.
User:oh ok
Doctor:And definitely not ominous.
User:i hope so because everytime this happens my life jumps upside down in a disaster
Doctor:Rarely, it can be an effect of electrolyte disturbances which can be corrected with proper hydration.
Doctor:So do continue taking plenty of water.
User:but i drink 2 litres of water everyday
Doctor:If symptoms are severe, you may need some mild sedatives which can be taken at night.
Doctor:Your local doctor can prescribe it to you.
Doctor:The medication is given to reduce the ticks.
Doctor:Even without any medication, this tick problem will spontaneously go away in a few days.
Doctor:So do not worry.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:actually i didnt know waht to do about ut
User:but its been hapenning since 3 to 4 days
Doctor:There are few theories that state stress and anxiety may be related to tick formation -
Doctor:I mean sometimes the more you concentrate on those ticks, the more they may happen.
User:that can be possible nad it happens vigorously, as if someone else can also see it
Doctor:Hence it might help to ignore these contractions.
Doctor:They will spontaneously go away.
User::( ok stress is there but I try to avoid
User:even when I am happy it twitches
User:only the right eye
Doctor:You can take care of the stress with proper sleep, physical exercise, yoga and meditation. In addition, for the current problem
Doctor:I suggest my patients to ignore these.
Doctor:And many of my patients these ticks resolved quickly
Doctor:when they ignore it.
Doctor:Hence I encourage you to do that.
Doctor:You are doing yourself good by taking plenty of water.
User:ok.. then i will let it happen
User:and wont bother much
Doctor:Practice XXXXXXX breathing exercise, yoga and meditation if you feel you are stressed a lot.
Doctor:Despite these if you feel they are worsening, you can visit your local doctor
Doctor:who will prescribe you some medication such as mild sedatives
Doctor:these will help you.
Doctor:I assure you, they are not serious and you do not have to worry.
Doctor:Hope it is clear.
