Doctor :   A Tension headache is caused by contraction of the muscles in the back of the neck, on the scalp, and sometimes in the jaw. Tension headaches are usually related to stress.

User :   well to tell you about my history
Doctor :   Carry on
User :   i had a severe headache in 2008 and i went for an MRI and did my brain scanning as well
User :   got the report and doctor said it quite normal and named it as a Tension headache

Doctor :   May i know your age
User :   now i had the same headache last year again and doctor said the same thing
Doctor :   The various causes for Tension Headaches are
User :   now its not that severe anymore though... but I had it again last 2 months back
User :   I am 29
Doctor :   1. Inadequate rest, 2. Poor posture 3. Emotional or mental stress, including depression
User :   yeah I thought so
Doctor :   Anxiety, Fatigue, Hunger, over exertion will also add up
User :   but what is the remedy.. can you please advice
Doctor :   Ya sure
User :   before that let me tell you i have this one problem
Doctor :   Proceed
User :   I tend to think a lot about everything, be it the smallest of the small problem I give so much thoughts :)
Doctor :   U should not Aggrevate your head ahce
User :   i analyse and reason out things too much and I can't seem to come out of it
Doctor :   Stress is your first enemy
User :   right
Doctor :   Thats ok, but within limits so that it doesn't affect your health
Doctor :   Or cause you more anxiety
User :   so what do u suggest i do Doctor.. please help
Doctor :   U can take Painkillers at the time of headache along with some muscle relaxants.
User :   It's not that severe anymore now.. but it's stays the whole day sometimes
Doctor :   U may also need Antidepressents
Doctor :   Do u practise Yoga
User :   I try not to take any medication and somehow it wears off
Doctor :   Thats is when tolerable and it does not bother u much
Doctor :   long term will stress management techniques
User :   I use to go to gym for workout.... but i have stop that now for the last 6 mnths

Doctor :   What other physical activity do u perform
User :   nothing

User :   nothing I am afraid

User :   but I am planning to start working out again by next month

User :   no i didn't mean i am afraid... :), it was just a figure of speech

Doctor :   Is your sleep regular, how much time do you sleep?
Doctor :   Do you Smoke, consume alcohoal,
Doctor :   *alcohol
User :   no i dont smoke.. drink maybe once in a month but not that much.. just a pint at the most
Doctor :   Ok moderate consumption will not affect
Doctor :   About Sleep?
User :   I am not sure about sleep... sometimes i sleep well but most of the time i dont sleep in one stretch
User :   at times yea i dont get sleep at all.. i work in night shifts
Doctor :   First step you should take is peacefull sleep atleast 8 hrs a day
Doctor :   Since how long
Doctor :   DO u have lot of caffiene
User :   this sleeping problem has been since the last few months now
User :   no i dont drink coffee and take a cup of tea a day

Doctor :   Do u practise meditation
User :   no
Doctor :   Three Important things to follow'
Doctor :   First being good sleep
Doctor :   Second being proper time management
Doctor :   Third being Meditation
Doctor :   These are the only alternatives if u wish not to take medicenes
User :   wat kind of meditation doctor.. how do i go about doing that?
Doctor :   As i said u need three class of drugs 1.painkillers, 2, muscle relaxants, 3, anti depressants.
Doctor :   Did u ever consult a neurologist for this problem.
User :   can u tell me the name of the anti depressants
Doctor :   We can prescribe only OTC drugs over the internet, no prescription drugs
Doctor :   I can suggest you painkillers
Doctor :   The dose of anti depressants will be decided after thorough examination by the neurologist.
User :   okay... can you tell me the name of the painkillers?
Doctor :   But since your headache is since long I would suggest you for a Neurologist opinion.
User :   i did that already.. he said the same thing too.... Tension headache :)
Doctor :   Then u have plan for the three remedies i told you
Doctor :   Did u have your vision tested
User :   well not recently.. but last year went i went doctor said its still the same power - 0.5 and 0.75

Doctor :   Do you follow proper posture techniques at work place.
User :   well I try to sit upright most of the time
Doctor :   DO u relax once in 40 min , take a small walk around workstation
Doctor :   If u dont follow proper sitting posture u are indirectly putting lots of strain in neck muscles which will add up headache
User :   no i dont do that
Doctor :   Good

User :   well I follow these instructions for now
