User :   Hi. I'm a 28 year old male. I recently got some blood tests done which showed that my testosterone levels are borderline low normal. I also checked my tsh, t3, t4, LH, and estradiol levels. Everything was well in the normal range except for Estradiol which was in high normal. What should I do to bring my testosterone levels to normal range.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   Let me read your query
User :   ok
Doctor :   Now, did you report to a doctor after the test?
User :   no
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   If the testosterone level is made normal
Doctor :   then estradiol levels settle on its own
User :   ok
Doctor :   but before doing that
Doctor :   may I know why these tests were done?
User :   yes because i am generally a fit person
User :   but i had been experiencing a lot of difficulty in putting on muscle
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Yes, it does have a role
User :   and a lot of fluctuation in sexual aspects
Doctor :   like?
User :   like sometimes i have high sexual desire
User :   and sometimes none
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   that is usually seen
Doctor :   and not an issue
User :   i started a multivitamin + added zinc
User :   i did a test earlier
User :   which showed my test levels below normal
Doctor :   ok
User :   so i consulted a doc, the docs in my region aren't so aware or i dont know how to put it.. in endocrinde related issues
Doctor :   Right
User :   esp hormone balance etc..
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :   there is slight imbalance b/w male and female hormones
User :   so i did a lot of research my doc and i conculded to try out hcg
Doctor :   which you have mentioned rightly
User :   to ensure that the testicles respond to the lh signal
User :   to rule out any issue on that side
Doctor :   Yes
User :   so I was previously administered with low doses of hcg more than 6 months, for only a couple of weeks, to see that the testicals are working and respond to a higher lh signal
Doctor :   that is regulated by the testicles, adrenal and pituitary gland as well
Doctor :   ok
User :   my boodwork came normal
User :   infact high normal
User :   though i feel a lot normal now
User :   im very sexually active
Doctor :   ok
User :   but i dont understandy the low t levels according to my age
User :   on why my test levels have dropped again
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Are you still on hcg?
User :   no.
User :   that was six months ago
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   withdrawal of hormonal supplementation
Doctor :   does have such a cause
Doctor :   first of all I would like you to consult an Endocrinologist for this problem
User :   how should i get t levels back to normal? do i try and reduce estrogen? or do i take low dose hcg again? or do i take external testosterone like andriol (test undecatonate)
User :   exactly.. i did visit an endo
Doctor :   ok
User :   but like i said.. he shrugged it off saying your in normal range so ur fine
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   that is the opinion
Doctor :   if you have further doubts on it
User :   but border normal is not normal , because i can understand the change in how my body works
Doctor :   then along with the previous reports
Doctor :   and medication history
User :   ok
Doctor :   I suggest you to consult our Endocrinologist
User :   perfect
User :   ok i will do that
Doctor :   I have given you the link
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting, bye for now
