Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   hello doc
User :   i have been diagnosed with 5 kidney stones in both kidneys...
Doctor :   Ok
User :   the biggest stone is 6 mm in size rest are between 4-5mm
Doctor :   Ok
User :   my kidneys have tendency coz my father used to have this problem
Doctor :   Ok
User :   few years back,i had one stone 10mm in my kidney which got flushed out with homeopathic medicines, tab neeri and tab cystone
Doctor :   Ok
User :   i am taking the same treatment right now...homeopathic,tab neeri and tab cystone...should that be sufficient to flush out the stones gradually?
Doctor :   Let me explain to you.
Doctor :   Kidney stones of less than 10mm usually do not need any treatment.
Doctor :   They get flushed out of the system with urination.
Doctor :   Just plenty of water is sufficient for its treatment.
Doctor :   Treatment is only needed if you have symptoms of pain, or problem with passing urine.
Doctor :   Having said this, since I am a general physician
Doctor :   and my knowledge with homeopathy is restricted.
Doctor :   So I cannot comment on the importance or the effects of the homeopathy medications.
Doctor :   You can use those medication if you have not found any problems with it.
User :   i do get pain attacks...but once in a while...and it stops with the pain killer prescribed to me by my urologist...
Doctor :   Apart from those medication, drink plenty of water - minimum 2 litres per day is essential.
Doctor :   Watch out for symptoms such as fever, persistent abdominal pain, burning/pain/difficulty while passing urine.
Doctor :   If such symptoms develop or other symptoms such as swelling, breathing difficulty develop.
Doctor :   you need to see a doctor for physical examination and testing.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   yes i have followed...
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   but the only thing is,i am a musician, and i have to keep travelling abroad a lot and my mom gets worried every time i travel
User :   so i wanna get rid of these stones asap
Doctor :   Recurrent kidney stones occur in small percentage of people.
Doctor :   The exact cause why one gets recurrent stone is not known.
Doctor :   however there are few factors which predispose an individual to recurrence this condition
Doctor :   such factors are dehydration, reduced frequency of urination, lack of personal hygeine, increased calcium consumption, Plenty of red meat consumption, alcohol, high cholesterol levels and so on.
Doctor :   You will need modifications with these factors.
Doctor :   check your blood cholesterol levels, if high you will need to implement measures to control them.
Doctor :   Apart from these factors, I would also suggest you to consider consulting an urologist who after physical examination and evaluation can suggest you specific treatment strategies.
Doctor :   Hope I have answered your query?
User :   but all urologists advise surgery...pardon me...and no offence against anybody...hence i am hesitating to go to a urologist
Doctor :   Surgical treatment is for the current treatment.
User :   the last time when i went to a urologist,he advised me a surgery...but i waited for the stone to flush out and it did flush out
Doctor :   Surgical measures are for the treatment of the current stones, which may not be necessary if the stones are less than 10mm in size.
Doctor :   Since you report of recurrent stones, presence of other medical conditions such as high cholesterol, high serum calcium, hyperparathyroidism, or other gut problem may be necessary.
Doctor :   My suggestion to see an urologist was only to know if any such conditions are the cause for recurrent stones.
Doctor :   Having said this, as I mentioned earlier, most often a cause may not be found.
Doctor :   Hope it is clear to you now.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   yup it is
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   but can you prescribe something so that the stones flush out faster?
Doctor :   Diuretic pills - pills which increase urination are used to flush the stones faster.
Doctor :   Since these pills are prescription only pills, I cannot suggest them online.
Doctor :   as they can cause side effects if not used appropriately.
User :   ok i understand
Doctor :   You may obtain a prescription of this medication
Doctor :   from a doctor near your location
Doctor :   after a face to face consultation with him.
Doctor :   Have I answered your query?
User :   yes doctor...thank you so much
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   no that will be all...
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Wish you faster recovery.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   goodbye
