User :   I am a 49 year old male who was recently diagnosed with HPV genital warts. The warts are located on the outside and inside my anus. I'm in the process of having them surgically removed and have had one surgery already. I still need to have another surgery to remove the rest of the warts that are internal. My question is, can the HPV virus be transmitted through semen either orally or through intercourse? Also, what are the chances of the warts reoccuring after they all have been removed?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Can you answer my question?
Doctor :   HPV infections spreads through physical contact
Doctor :   A physical contact with an infected individual/infected area is potentially the mode of transmission then through body fluids.
Doctor :   And HPV infection is a chronic condition.
Doctor :   meaning though the warts are removed, the infection still remains.
Doctor :   There are chances of recurrence exist.
Doctor :   There have been no clear reports about the chances of recurrence.
