User :   am sure not stressed
Doctor :   blood test cant miss the result after one week of a missed period

User :   its on and off. 12th day jus while wiping
User :   and 2 days back now
User :   my mother in law seems to have gotten periods when she was carrying my husband for 2 months
User :   could this be genetic?
Doctor :   do not worry its normal to get a period delayed or missed for once , if it continues for next month too then you may need to consult a gynecologist to get a per vaginum examination
User :   she did not know until 2 months or so that she is pregnant
User :   but I have never missed my period once for almost 15 years
Doctor :   no, you do not inherit your mother inlaws genes
Doctor :   anyway there is no such illness where periods continue after pregnancy
Doctor :   only case bleeding happens in pregnancy is early days , called as implantation bleeding
User :   ok.. may be misinterpreted as periods..
Doctor :   the blood test cannot miss the pregnancy
User :   is it not possible that hcg in my blood is too low to be detected
User :   not sure which type of blood test they did
Doctor :   yes, the implantation bleeding is always misinterpretated as abortion or periods
User :   could spotting be because of implantation?
User :   i had cramping for very few days like 1 or 2.. but it is now settled.
Doctor :   the mere presence of Hcg is enough to get the test positive as hcg is not present in blood normally
User :   ok.
Doctor :   yes it could be due to implantation , but in your case since the blood hcg is negative the chances of pregnancy is remote
User :   I usually dont have any pain or cramping during my periods(before and after)
Doctor :   Do you have kids ?
User :   nope
User :   we just got married 8 months back
Doctor :   Since when are you married ?
Doctor :   ok, so you have become sexually active since recent days , hence these kind of hormonal fluctuations can be expected
Doctor :   do not worry , you next period may be heavy
User :   mm.. ok.. so now should i wait until the next time it is due before I see gyn?
Doctor :   if you do not mensurate next month too , then you do need physical examination by a gynecologist
Doctor :   yes,
User :   ok. what are the other possible reasons to skip a period
Doctor :   some hormonal drugs , stress, environmental changes, changes in food style , drug addictions, urinary tract infections, genital infections etc
User :   mm..
Doctor :   wait for 15 days from now if you do not menstruate go for a repeat blood hcg test , if negative consult a gynecologist
User :   ok.
