User :   My knees and hip tendons are keeping me from standing straight' I haven't walked in a year and have had to sleep with my legs haning over the edge of the bed. I am just now learning to use a prothesis on my lower left leg but need to get straight in order to walk properly. How can I straighten out?
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Hello
Doctor :   May i know what prosthesis are you using now ?
User :   My hip flexors are very tight and hurt like heck when I stretch. I also have a Dyna Splint for my knee bend.
User :   Just got my left leg prothesis 1 week
Doctor :   ok ,may i know what diagnosis was made about you knee and hip ?
User :   I am tight because of months of poor posture while sleeping
Doctor :   ok, have you consulted a orthopedician for the same ?
User :   No just my Physical Therapist. He is trying to stretch me out during each session.I am just wondering if there is something I can do for this
Doctor :   slow stretching is only the best and safest way
Doctor :   do not go for any invasive techniques
User :   I do this every day for 1 hour. But everything always seems to snap back
Doctor :   if you want to assist the process then use muscle relaxants like tizanidine
User :   OK I will talk to my doctor about this
Doctor :   And do not force the straightening , its very risky
Doctor :   slow manipulation is the safest and best
User :   Ok I will take your advice....I think we're finished
User :   Thanks
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me, kindly provide your feedback
User :   Okie Dokie
