User :   have you gone through the problem

Doctor :   No i have not received it
User :   my wife feels itching in her legs from feet upto thigh from last 3-4 days

User :   she will get itching sensetion for 10-15 mins and after scratching the skin will have rashes for sometime (10-15 mins)
User :   after that it will become normal
User :   this happens around 3-4 times a day
User :   her age is 29 years
Doctor :   is it only confined to the legs or anyother part of body ?>
User :   sometimes she feels in hands also, but mostly in legs
Doctor :   so this is going on for 3 days ?

Doctor :   ok well what it can usually be a allergic reaction

Doctor :   Ok well to begin with the allergen can be anything in general . sometime the clothes we wear
Doctor :   or a specific detergent
Doctor :   now what she needs to do is rub some calamine lotion on the area
Doctor :   also i will suggest her to take one tab of CETRIZINE one a day for 3 days
User :   she is applying vaseline (skin jelly) from yesterday ... is it fine?
Doctor :   Itching could be the result of a variety of reasons such as allergies (to food, plants or pets), insect bites, stings, skin disease
Doctor :   i will tell what she needs to put for relief
Doctor :   she should apply Aloe Vera/cod liver oil/ lemon juice/vitamin E which ever is available
Doctor :   Apply cold compress to the itchy areas, it is thought to bring relief from itching
Doctor :   Increase intake of Vitamin C, beta-carotene, Vitamin E and zinc through diet by having foods rich in the above mentioned vitamins and minerals.
Doctor :   Avoid scratching or rubbing itchy areas as this worsens the problem. Keep finger nails short to prevent skin damage from scratching.
Doctor :   Wear loose, light and cool nightwear. Do not use thick, rough clothing like wool over itchy areas.
Doctor :   Take bath with lukewarm water.
Doctor :   you told me she is using Vaseline.. well that's ok she can use that
User :   we tried to apply rose water once.. is it ok?
User :   it helped
Doctor :   Take honey and cinnamon powder in equal proportions. Make a fine paste out of it and apply this on the affected area. This would stop itching.
Doctor :   yes rose water is a also a good option, see from the history that you have told me its nothing serious, and looks like a allergic reaction

User :   this is related to my father aged 59 years

User :   my father is having kidney stone(s) and he has undergone lithrotripsy treatment
User :   the treatment was 1 year back
User :   that time may be the stone(s) became powder and came out via urin
User :   but now they are formed again
User :   this keeps happening and we feel like there is factory which makes stones in kidney for him.. why it would be happening?

Doctor :   1) Drink eight to 13 glasses of water .
Doctor :   2) Limit the amount of calcium and oxalate-based foods eaten. These include apples, black pepper, chocolate, coffee, cheese, grapes, ice cream, vitamin C, yogurt, tomatoes and oranges

Doctor :   4) Limit supplemental intake of vitamin C and D.
