Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   Let me read the query
Doctor :   What is your age?
User :   20
User :   female
Doctor :   GP's are not usually trained to look at the retina ( back of eye) hence she is sending to the eye specialist and not that you may be having a tumor
User :   she said she could see the right one ok but not the left
Doctor :   Do you have vomitings along with headaches?
User :   no a slight feeling of nausea but no vommitting
Doctor :   Did you fall off being dizzy?
User :   no
User :   the headache has been constant for two weeks, paracetamol doesnt help
Doctor :   Do you have problem with vision?
User :   no
Doctor :   Do you have problem of hearing?
User :   no
Doctor :   Do you have problem walking
User :   no
Doctor :   Do you have a problem of smell?
User :   no
Doctor :   If one has a tumor, they have headaches along with irrevocable vomitings, and one of the above symptoms I asked above
Doctor :   So it is ruled out that you do not have brain tumor
User :   what could it be behind my eye
Doctor :   Just that the GP was not able to look at the back of eye, should not make you panic
User :   if i have a problem behind my eye could it cause the headaches
Doctor :   To be honest, it is not a general practice for the GP's to look into the eye with a ophthalmoscope
Doctor :   so you may not draw conclusions about their findings
User :   i am very very worried that i have something serious wrong
Doctor :   I do not think it is something very worrisome
Doctor :   Sometime normal pain killers woould not help
Doctor :   like paracetmol
Doctor :   during headaches
User :   gp has precribed codeine based painkiller but that doesnt help either
User :   i think what has worried me most is that she wants me to have an emergency appointment with the opthalimic specialist and hasnt waited for a routine appointment
Doctor :   Ok, migrainous headaches may not get better with codeine too
Doctor :   I still wonder why she was insisting on emergency appointment when you do not show great symptoms
Doctor :   What is the severity of headache on a scale of 1 to 10?
User :   about 7
Doctor :   That is Ok
Doctor :   without vomitings, and no other sensory symptoms
User :   it does get better during the day but doesnt go
Doctor :   I would not relate it to brain tumor
Doctor :   Migrainous headaches can have such symptom
User :   ok thank you
Doctor :   These kind of episodes shall last a month and later subside on their own, till then you should rely on traditional pain killers
Doctor :   Do you have any more queries
User :   no thank you
Doctor :   Hope I minimized your anxiety
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me
User :   yes you did
Doctor :   Bye for now
User :   bye
