User :   Hi!I smoked pot June 8. That was the first time in 10 years. I found out yesterday that need to take a pre-employment drug test June 17 or 18. Do I need to worry about passing my test?
Doctor :   Hello.
User :   Hi. Do you see my question?
Doctor :   Does the drug test involve marijuana testing?
User :   yes, I am assuming so. it is for a govt. job
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Do I need to worry about passing my test?
Doctor :   In infrequent users typically test negative for the presence of marijuana metabolites within 3-4 days.
Doctor :   In chronic users it is with in 10 days.
User :   Ok, so then I should be ok? That was the first in 10 years and I got the call for the job interview the next day. Had I known about the interview, I wouldn't have smoked at all!
Doctor :   It is for urine test only.
User :   ok. I think that's all they are doing. Is irt different for blood tests then?
Doctor :   Then it is fine.
Doctor :   the blood and hair testing are expensive, not performed usually.
User :   Ok, if there is a blood test, is the 3-4 day window different from urine test?
Doctor :   Usually the same.
User :   Ok doctor, thank you for your help.
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
User :   You're welcome. Have a great day!
Doctor :   Bye.
